Interesting Article about E Cigarettes and patents

Someone posted this link on Facebook. It's a very interesting article about the increasing popularity of e cigarettes:

Here's a great quote from the article:

What I noticed..

"Of more than 2,000 e-cigarette inventions tracked by Thomson Reuters, 64 percent originate in China, where over half of men smoke. In second place is the United States, with 14 percent, followed by South Korea with 9 percent."

Also I believe I read somewhere a couple years ago that the ecig industry was estimated to be 10 bill in 10 years. (3.5 bill today) In 2011, BT spent roughly 8.5 bill on advertising.

I just had to pluck this from the linked article. It now seems as though a lack of evidence becomes evidence.

Pay for puff device... I would be in trouble... and living on the streets... as for the shut off after a certain number of puffs, ummm no. Ill vape until I feel like stopping thank you very much... (usually happens when I can barely see the other side of the room)

The bit about vaping ... might not be the best press. Also how could you get a patent for vaping ... or any other ingredient like that. Seems farfetched.

Jeez, insert the active ingredient of another smoke-able substance where those dots are.
