Interesting Discovery

I was at a local b&m today and found a REALLY interesting mod, which I want more info on, but I've been unable to find any.

It has a 'birdcage' design VERY similar to the iTaste 134, but the centerpiece is a single-button VV/VW (18650) with what appears to be an OLED display.

It has VW from 3.0w to 15.0w in 0.5w increments (huge plus over 134's 1w increments).

It also has VV mode, which I had a chance to voltage test. Every setting was acurate within 0.02v or less!

I thought it was called the 'Discovery', but my recollection may be incorrect.

Sadly, as it had JUST arrived, and the owner was not present, I was unable to get ANY pricing info.

My SVD is dead (fire button) and awaiting exchange, so I am in the market (potentially) for a new daily mod. (I love my mech rigs...but just not so practical for use at work.)

Does anyone have ANY info on this mod?

It sure does. Thank you SO MUCH. Based on that picture, I was able to find the website listed below, which gives me a reference point as far as pricing.

Probably won't find a whole lot of info out there on this one, though. :-(

Aanybody have any experience with Sunmoon products?

Those will probably be marked up WELL above $100 from B&M's...order 1 from the above link since they are selling em in lots of 1...tell us how they run!

Single button...probably options like a ZMAX or something

I am not one who differentiates a whole lot between the chinese mod makers......I've ordered some directly from companies that nobody has much experience ordering from, with no problems. They want to make money and take orders.

I have generally found them very eager to please us.

I don't know enough about this mod build to comment. So much of what you buy from US vendors came out of some factory in china and you are never even aware of whether its Sunmoon or Lrider or who makes the darn stuff.

Honestly, never used a Z-Max.

I did get to navigate through the menus while voltage testing the unit. I found them a bit awkward and inconvenient, compared to the SVD, but to be honest, I don't even access those functions all that frequently.

Not positive if it has a resistance test function, which I DO use on my SVD, but I strongly suspect it does.

The 134 at least tries to make use of it's ridiculous design by using a rotating ring to change power.
The KL002 looks like a Vamo with some tubing screwed on.
I'll wait for the eGo version !
