...another rendition from 1980 dodari...

Yeah, L. P. was the greatest, strong, pitch perfect, his expression(musically) perfect. What a loss. He pretty much out lived Caruso, Pinza, Lanza age-wise, they all eventually blew veins or some god-awful cardio-pulmonary thing, don't remember exactly any more. Always loved his impish grin.

My Nonnina(grandmother) used to bawl her eyes out whenever any of those 3 would be played. She was one fiery lady. Came from Trapani, west end of The Isla.

And now I must go. Been sloughing off from my(actually "Our") practice, trying to retire, leave it to "the young lions".

Buona Fortuna.

It was 1968, was on furlough stateside, Santa Fe, NM, up in a crash-house far up on Canyon Rd., you could walk on the enchanted mota smoke, but we, of the higher calling, had escaped it all with our little fired up glass pipes with the Saint "O" in them.

Her aroma stirred me and we became one in tantra for what seemed to transcend forever for a few hours and then we fell into a deep satisfied rest.

Morning came and this song.

I let her go. What a damned fool I am, old fool reminiscing.
