Intermittent Blank Pages

Every once in a while, the board returns an empty page. I haven't been able to tie it to anything in particular, IOW it's not always when I'm loading this or that forum, or executing this or that new post query. If I do a 'view source' in Firefox, that's blank too, so not even structure tags are being sent. Got one just now, appx 17:00MDT on General E-Smoking Discussion - E-Cigarette Forum

If I do a refresh, the page loads fine, and my session isn't destroyed.

Maybe y'all are in the middle of some major tweaks?

It's happened to me a couple time too, but it's so infrequent and easily remedied that it's no big deal.

Its happening to me a lot.. not just every once in a while...

alex the code monkey is aware, just hasn't been able to track down the culprit yet. in the interim, a page refresh will usually take you through it.

Does it help to know when? I'm sure the logs for this site are a ..... to look through.

Ru-Roh! I think I busted it.

Got the blank when posting a reply, hit the back button, resubmitted, and got an error about a duplicate message. But now the thread seems b0rken. i.e. page 2 takes you to page 1. 18:23MDT. And my reply isn't there (or it is, but on page 2?) So maybe the submit code ran partway through.

Yep, I'm getting them frequently as well and am relieved to know that it isn't just me On another note, I just got a message saying the board was "too busy." Are we outgrowing our traffic?

Yep. Refreshing makes it better. I've also noticed that if theres only one post on a new page, I can't get to that new page until theres at least 2 posts. That one makes me mad lol

In this topic the server was having problems when I did post no.12 on Page 2.
Later when I got on I noticed it was not showing Page 2 on the forum, but instead was showing last post to be no. 10. So I posted to bring up to date.

lol just got it when I went from page 1 to page 2 of this thread. usually its a 500 'Internal server error' but this time it was general 'page cannot be displayed' with
'Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error'


Using IE as well - and yeah this happens a LOT to me too, a refresh fixes it but you got some gremlins stalkin ya, code monkey bro!
