Greetings all!

You have been a great deal of help to me without even knowing it. :) Although I must admit, my first glance at this forum had me half tempted to run the other way....all of the acronyms, lingo, and e-cigs that look nothing like cigs.....ack! But, I prevailed and can't thank you enough for all of the valuable information provided here.

After getting the lay of the land, reading this forum, and pouring over You Tube reviews, I settled on the Bloog Maxx Fusion to help me kick my 20+ year cigarette addiction. I had to kind of piece together an order to get me started, but think I am ready. Here's what arrives tomorrow:

Basic Starter Kit
2 extra 65mm batteries
several packs of cartomizers (varied flavors and nic levels)
a Trifecta battery
(they are out of stock on PCCs and blank cartomizers, but I'll keep my eye out for re-stocking)

Also, based on recommendations in these forums, I have additional juice on the way from both Gourmet Vapor and Vaperite.

When I ran out of smokes yesterday, I actually only purchased three packs instead of a carton. How's that for optimism? :)

Will keep you posted on how everything goes, but wanted to throw out a giant "thank you" to all!

Best,
Tracy

I am new to Vaping too, and almost got the Bloog, but wanted a complete kit, so I went with the V4L, because Bloog was out of stock at the time. It is essentially the same technology (sure some one will correct me if I am wrong :) ). Was a pack a day smoker for 30 years, and I love the KR808D-1. I just threw away my remaining analogs today after "holding" them for 3 days just in case. I think you will be very happy with your decision.

Welcome to ECF, Tracy!

It looks like you've really done some serious studying here :) That said, it sounds like you've got a nice setup picked out, and the addition of some juice is a good move. I see you're still waiting for a restock on the PCC and blank cartos, but at least you've got some things to try in the meantime. I'm assuming the cartos you did order can be refilled, so that will give you a chance to try some of the juices you ordered. Best of luck, and I admire your positive attitude!

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome. I am sure I will have many questions, like this one: Do I understand correctly that a V4L PCC will accomodate the Bloog batts? I saw a really nice one on the NHaler site, but it contained batteries and stuff and was very expensive. I don't need the fancy, techie Bloog version, just one that will get the job done (and preferably empty....don't need all of the extra batteries and stuff just yet). Any recommendations?

Best,
Tracy

Good Morning Zot.
Congrats on your decision to quit and your decision to go with the Bloog.
I tried 4 or 5 others before I realized the Bloog was the best out there.(IMO)
There is a Bloog sub-forum that will have a lot more info on the product, as well as a lot of really good people that are here to help you on your quest.
In response to a couple of the posts (but over my head a little) yes there are other companies that sell a Cartomizer that will fit our equipment, they don't always work as well as using the Bloog carto with the Bloog battery. That would be better answered by some of the veteran Bloogers on the forum.
The one post I can speak to is the re-fill ability. YES, they are indeed refillable. They will obviously have a limited life span, but that will be determined on the amount and quality of juice you go thru. I personally have some cartos that are 10 or 11 days old, and have been refilled at least once and sometimes twice a day. This will add to your savings.
As for the smokes... Don't sweat it. If you are still smoking it is OK. Your body will tell you when it is OK to quit altogether. EVERY cig you DON"T smoke adds time to your life. So celebrate every one you skip.

So again, welcome to the forum and I look forward to seeing you on the Bloog forums.

Thanks, Golden and Shooter! I will check out the alternative PCCs. Didn't realize the NHaler cartomizers were the same, so will look into those too (since Bloog seems to be blank outta blanks :))

I can't post or ask questions in the Bloog forum....discovered that I need to be here a little while longer, but have been reading a lot for sure!

Thanks, AP! 2 hours in and no nic overdose yet. ha ha ha But after smoking 1 to 1 1/2 to 2 packs of Marlboro Lights a day for the past 25 years or so, I'd imagine that would be difficult to accomplish.

I can't get over how satisfying this is! The tastes? Eh. BUT... I can live with them until I figure out what suits my palette. The RY4 26mg carto tastes a little bit like tobacco-flavored cotton candy to me. Switched to the 16mg Menthol and it's a bit better, but now also tasting a bit funky....sort of glue-like.

NOT complaining, though! I am actually surprised at how UN-horrible they taste. Even though they don't taste "great", neither do Marlboros! ha ha ha

My palette leans more towards savory than sweet (not necessarily needing tobacco-flavor, but I can do without sugary-sweet). Anyone have any good recommendations for juice that fits the savory-not-sugary category?

Thanks, everyone!

Here, there
Another fellow BLOOOOGER. WOOOOOOOOT Congrats, and watch, you should have little to no problems kicking that nasty habit we all had at one point.

You got a great kit, more than enough extras, and picked a GREAT company to start with. Your only upgrade should/would be a mod of some type. If need be. But I doubt that will start to settle into your brain at about a week in. Maybe longer.

Keep us posted on how you do, and how you like your gear!!!!!!

Zotzer - I got an e-mail from Bloog customer service this afternoon that their PCC's are back in stock, but they are still out of blanks and the kits. I asked them for an e-mail when they got the kits back in stock when I was trying to decide between them and V4L, and they followed up... I hear really good things on this forum about their customer service.

Congrats on your switch and what great timing! And good job doing your research before your purchase. The Bloog is a great one to start with. Hopefully some of the flavors will grow on you, but it sounds like you have already had a taste of what ends up being a stockpile of different juices :)
