Hi there everyone!

I'm Dot, been a cigarette smoker for about 13 years, and am getting ready to start vaping instead. Here's how I was introduced to it. I was in a bar with a friend one cold, rainy night recently, and we had been complaining about havong to go outside to smoke. All of a sudden, we notice the bartender take a couple of drags on what looks like a cigarette. There was no smell, and when he came down to our end of the bar he showed us his e-cigarette, and let us have a couple hits. I liked the feel of the vapor, and the light flavor. It made my analog taste like crap by comparison (see I'm learning the lingo :p). Since then, I've been lurking here, watching videos and reading reviews, trying to decide what model I want to try first (I've learned that most of you have several different units, and figure I'll probably go down that path, too).

I decided on the NJoy Npro, mostly thanks to their generous warranty and return policies, and the positive reviews it's gotten. Ordered it on amazon and am now counting down to its arrival (Thursday). I also ordered a Johnson Creek "Welcome to E-Smoking Kit" so I can try a bunch of different flavors, and because it's got all the refill stuff I'll need all at once. I'm very frugal, so I think I'll be filling my own as much as possible.

I want to thank all the contributers here for providing info that a noob like me could learn from, and I hope to provide my own info to others sometime.

4 days to go,
Dot

Good call. I got one of those when I started vaping and it's turned out to be massively useful. All those bits and pieces I'd otherwise have acquired over the course of a few weeks collected in one go.The flavours were fun too - I tried some I wouldn't have otherwise risked and found a couple of surprise favourites in Peach Cobbler and Mint Chocolate Madness.

Good to hear that! I've had flavored cigarettes in the past, and they always tasted like bad fruit with nasty chemicals, but I'm pretty sure E-Liquid will taste just like whatever it's supposed to taste like. I'm especially curious about the chocolate and vanilla flavors. I bet they're just like dessert. :)

The Johnson Creek kits is a bit pricey, but just knowing I'll have a ll the bits and pieces I need (and instructions) all at once seems like it will be a lot more convenient.

Now it's 3 days and counting!
