Hi y'all,

Let me introduce myself. I'm a chemist and pharmacist from Sweden. Picked up vaping after my wife suggested I'd try that instead of just sitting around severely depressed and smoking stinking cancer sticks. "electronic cigarettes"? What's that ....?! - Was my initial reaction. However, after trying it I awoke to the great vape God in the skies and my initial doubt turned into "This is a ....ing REVOLUTION!". After vaping for a week or so, the chemist in me awoke and started thinking more and more about what actually was in the e-liquid. So the story began.

Skip forward to present time. I have started up a company for production of e-liquids. Business is temporarily halted due to spending a month or so away from home, but when I return home I have three flavors to do larger pilot batches of. I am presently using commercial aromas from aroma houses, but my ambition is to use only in-house developed aromas - to achieve ultimate control of the ingredients. I have tried to receive declaration of all ingredients from a few aroma/flavor houses under an agreement of non-disclosure, but have not have success yet. I will move away from these suppliers as soon as possible.

Only recently did my eyes open to RTAs and drippers, etc. The vaping experience jumped a few notches and I learned how a juice for small format clearomizers must differ from juice suitable for rebuildables.

Another goal I have is to create juice with recommended temperature intervals - I do believe temperature controlled devices will become somewhat of a standard in the future - and the future is quickly approaching.

I am not here to represent my business, yet, but am here to learn from the community and to share what knowledge I have the community might benefit of.

So... Good to meet you and vape on! :)

Acid blonde? Please elaborate a little. Remember, I'm still somewhat newbie to the vape scene and come from a background of science and pharmaceuticals. The lingo is still new to me, and apart from my own juices I have only used a few other brands. Used basically only Liqua until I started making my own. So I am not familiar with a lot of the terms used by many in the vape community.

Acid Blondie is a cigar. A very good cigar. I chipped them up and covered them with PG and will let it steep in that for over a month at least to create a naturally extracted tobacco flavor. I can then use this to create a tobacco e-liquid that should be a perfect cigar flavor. Hopefully lol. I have 3 other batches of different cigars that have been steeping for a month and a half. They are getting close on flavor, but will let them steep at least another 2 weeks before filtering them.

I can see many different ways to approach extraction from tobacco, and it differs a lot depending on what you are trying to achieve. Most of the approaches I would personally try, in the name of experimentation, would require equipment and/or facilities most DIY:ers do not have access to. The easiest one, apart from just steeping in PG, would be steeping finely chopped plant material in isopropanol - if you have the means to evaporate the isopropanol well. And then diluting it with suitable base. One could go into acid/base extractions and other processing steps to get rid of and/or keep certain components, but I believe that is going a little too far for most DIY:ers.

Yep, I chose this method for simplicity and time is not a problem. I also read that the PGA method gives a very strong flavor and I wanted it to be flavorful, yet mild. I have already sampled one of my batches and the flavor is very good. Tastes like the cigar.

You need to add 1 drop of TFA CC to that to give it that real burnt taste.
TFA calls it Caramel Cappucccino.
I call it House on fire.
