Evolv has now confirmed the VJ report, and some other very interesting insights as well............. sigh

Ok, to quell these rumors, I've been in touch with both Brandon from Evolv and John from Dimension (co-partners in the dna 20) and, while there are new products in the pipeline, there is no official confirmation of a dna 30 or any other device. And there was certainly no DNA 30 prototype circulating around Vapercon. VJ needs new glasses. Will there eventually be one? Who knows? I'm sure the DNA 20 will be updated at some point, but right now it's the only game in town. I doubt someone left a DNA 30 board lying around in a bar, ala the iPhone 5, so these rumors are just unfounded gossip.

But, on a more realistic note, Brandon had some very nice things to say about the Futura on display at the show. Loved it!

Rather then repeating our conversation word for word, here are the bullet points. Brandon is fully aware I'm going to publish this on my blog, I told him I would.

1. The specs on the new "DNA30" are mostly true.

What is the "DNA30"?

I'm calling it the DNA30 because he confirmed the specs. I was never given an actual name of the board. The board looks VERY similar to the DNA20. At first glance you might think it is the DNA20, and many did, because it was shown off at VaperCon under everyone's nose.

It was slated to be released on December 27th. I asked him to confirm it, and he only said, "there will be nothing before Christmas."

so its all back to he said - they denied it - bla bla bla, dont care really.............

I had heard that they are working on a DNA 50 setup that in addition to variable watts and voltage will include a variable resistance function to allow changing atomizer ohms on the fly.

That's awesome! With that plus the 3.7v DC to 120v AC converter they are adding it is gonna be one hell of a vape!!!

Giving up on the updates pictures and videos. Kinda pathetic really that such simple things can't be done, especially when promised. These were meant to have shipped already so one would think that they would make an effort to tide us over with such things.

I agree with you. I understand that there are many things that you need to do in order to finish your product, but we actually believed in him and his promise to give us a crappy video and some cell phone pics, nothing professional, just wanted to check if after like 3 months of waiting, theres a final output. I feel so disappointed. First I felt frustration, but now it is just disappointment. Hope to restore faith in humanity in a couple of days though.

Ok, folks, here's the latest update: we will begin shipping next week. First units to go out will be to those on the initial 100 list who chose black or titanium with contoured or inclined caps. Then we'll ship to all others who selected these colors and options. Additional colors will begin shipping within a few days of the first wave, as well as the blacks and titaniums with the 510-only caps. The long, long, long wait is finally over. Almost. It's been a tough slog but there's a bright light at the end of this tunnel - The Futura. Thanks for your unbelievable patience!
