I don't know the size, but you should have received one with your order. In the meantime while you try to get it sorted, shoot Jon an email and maybe he will send you one.

I sent Jon an email right away. Mine was there but was hiding in the bottom of the box. I'd still rather have a few backups sitting around.

I'm having an issue with my Futura DNA20. Seems like I regularly, several times a day, have to remove and reinstall my battery cap to reboot my DNA20 chip.

I'll be vaping, the battery will have plenty of power left, and when I wake the Futura it says check battery or weak battery.... remove and replace the battery cap and I'm good to go again.

It's happened on several batteries and can happen when the battery is at 90% or nearly drained...?

Is this normal?

To be clear, as long as the battery has power when I replace the battery cap, it's always good to go and works afterwards.... but it seems like something happens during the waking process where it obviously checks the battery that causes the DNA20 to think the battery isn't capable of firing, but it obviously is.

I seem to have rthis same issue with my vaporshark after a couple of months of use. I can`t do a total reboot because the bats are fixed. I did reboot it once when it didn`t give me an Ohm`s reading anymore. But now it seems like when I get these messages(weak battery, check atomiser) I can adjust the wattage (lowering) and after that I don`t get the errors anymore. I`ll try cleaning the contacts., hope I don`t get this with the futura though

I used No Ox Id A Special. You can use Noalox. Just a dab. I put it on the positive contact and the negative spring. Clean the contacts first with something to gently scrape off the oxidation (I use a Eurotool which is like a fiberglass eraser) then some alcohol and a qtip.

Hmm... quick google search shows No ox id is conductive, I don't "think" noalox is... I wonder if one is better than the other? hmm....

Dear "wait-er" friends,

I got mine 2 weeks ago (standard Ti color, order #2130).
I had to change the central pin with a shorter one.
The 510 thread was not perfect originally but is now ok after some days of screw/unscrew.
(my did20 still does not work on it)
The rocker rocks but is quite strange at first look.

The DNA30 is very special and I needed some days to get habit to it.
This said it works really really well and I could check that more than 20 watts is special ! (not far from head spinning !)
The cerakote is actually fantastic and pleasant in hand.

I am really satisfied with this purchase and must congratulate the people at nexgen for managing to get the apv to me even with a change in address as I was in the process of moving when they sent it :toast: (I actually got no problem in getting in touch with them by email)

I'm still wondering if it's better than a dani extreme or not, but I think they're just not comparable one with other.

Regards,
:vapor: JJ :vapor:

my friend got this as a gift for me, and 2 mths later, they sent it to singapore where it was illegal to import any form of electronic cigs and it got confiscated, when there was an email specifically telling them to ship it to the UK ( where i am) , however the futura was sent to singapore and now i still dont have it, it was purchased early feb..

In case anyone had the same issue as I did:

My Futura DNA30 kept turning itself off and back on after firing it. It didn't happen every time, but enough to piss me off. I tried the other spring that came with it, stretching out the spring as well. It seemed to help for a bit, but it kept coming back. I knew it wasn't my battery, as i had tried several. I came to the conclusion my unit  may be raised a bit more then it should be. On the pin where the serial number is (to protect from reverse battery). I turned the spring upside down.....no issues anymore.

So I was told to use a small magnet on top of my flat top batteries in order to engage the top connection. I found recently that I was seeing the identical behavior you were seeing (reboot or complete shutoff). So I used some nipple-top VTC4 batteries and the problem is resolved. These batteries are old and have limited capacity so I don't want to use them for long. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing too many button/nipple top batteries in the 10A+ range on the market so I'm wondering how you were able to reverse the top connection? It appears to be an unrecoverable inset flat contact rather than a spring. Thanks.

By design, the Futura will not work with flat-top batteries. (There is no reverse battery protection with the DNA20/30), so this is built by design. If you put in a battery upside down and it made connection, you would fry the board. I may have not been clear enough on my post....i did not reverse the top connection, i turned the spring upside down in the battery cap. It is not snug in there, but it raises the battery enough to keep a solid connection. BTW, i use AW IMR batteries - both the 18490/650. No issues at all....

Unfortunate to say the least.
I had my Futura delivered internationally to a country that also does not allow the importation of e-cigarettes. While the reason I had to have it sent there was due to it being delayed; I have to thank NexGen for getting it there.
We agreed to have it declared as a "power source" and minimized the declared value so that customs wouldn't hit me up too hard when it arrived.
Boom Futura, right to my door. Still vaping like a champ.

I just held the rocker down on both sides.

Well ... I'm not going to try with mine as the center of the rocker looks very well fixed and i don' t want to make an error... :D

:2c: : Concerning the batteries, my futura works perfectly with flat top konion.. which is a good thing as I don't have top nipple batteriesfor the moment (indeedi'll try to get some when see good prices )

A+
