I've been using the Delta 23 and 16 for a few days now, and I'm definitely a fan. I decided to give the 23 a try with a 50/50 VG/PG 6mg grape flavor that usually gives atomizers fits. It tastes amazing for one or two tanks, but usually gunks up the coils something fierce by tank three. I'm on tank number six or so (I wasn't counting too carefully) and it's still producing excellent flavor with no apparent gunking of the coils.
For starters, it's a very easy fill. It's a nice, wide opening that should work well with dropper bottles. It holds a LOT of juice, which is good, because it can go through quite a bit depending on your setup. The build quality feels very nice. It doesn't feel "premium" or "luxury" to me, but it does feel very solid, more akin to a well-made set of work boots than handcrafted Italian leather wingtips (I don't mean that as a negative, just a different design choice). I very much like the styling; it's rather industrial looking with minimal embellishments, nice-sized windows, and a smooth, consistent finish (I got the black model). I popped in one of the pyrex Ice drip tips with no problem (the massive cone-style tip that came with it wasn't my favorite).
The airflow adjustment is also very good. It's a slot-style, so you're adjusting how much of the slot is open. The ring travels smoothly with what I feel is an appropriate amount of force. It doesn't take a ton of muscle to turn it, but I don't think it will be slipping on its own. I appreciate that it's a "round robin" sort of ring, so you can just keep turning the same way and you'll hit another slot; you never have to turn counter-clockwise, so you never accidentally unscrew the tank from the device.
Most importantly, the performance of the Delta 23 is great. I tend to run most of my devices around 7W or so, because I often get lots of dry hits above that unless I prime the coils often. I just kept turning the wattage up on my Legend, and I maxed out the device at 15W without tasting a burnt hit; it was a warmer vape than I like and I settled down to 11W, but it's been going strong tank after tank with no dry hits at all. I've got the airflow maxed and the cutoff on the Legend set to 20s for deep lung inhales, and I'm getting the best flavor and vapor I've gotten out of a bottom coil tank.
I'm usually a pretty big Kanger fanboy, and I definitely love their tanks, but I think the Delta has won me over as my favorite. I'll have to see how I like it with other flavors, but so far it's outperforming the Aerotank Turbo for my taste, which previously held the crown as my number one tank.
Thanks for getting me hooked on another tank, GotVapes. Now I'm going to have to buy another one when the next paycheck comes in!
