It's cool man I don't mind people knowing, this is suppose to be a community and communities share .

I use a router , the main bits I use is 1/4 straight and 1/2 straight , once I cut the groves I need I use a vice to good the wood so I can saw what length I need. I use a run of the mill hand saw , then use clamps and glue together. Once dry I sand with multiple sand sponge from there I use sand paper I start with 80 and work up to 220

LOL, I gotta say man, you are better with a hand saw than I am. The end I cut off would probably be at an angle by the time I finished the cut.

My grandfather wouldnt let me use an electric saw to cut wood so its old habit . He used to make me use the old drill that looks like an egg beater but I got a drill press

This is my flint rod handle I made, as I was making this I kept changing the shape till I found one I liked now I will be making more and cleaning them up a little. I can't remeber the size rod I use I belive it is 1/8 ID and 2 L it is the smallest I found. I will also be picking up some steel to make a striker to go with it . although I always have some type of knife on me I thought it would be fun to make my own
