Hello Guys,

New to the forum. I just saw this site while searching answers for my questions and I found my self browsing and reading threads for an hour. Lots of information here so I decided to register and be a part of this community.

I started vaping last January. I promised my self not to smoke cigarettes any more so I decided to ease the pain by purchasing an eGo-T. I used it for about 2 months, and decided to buy myself a small VV type ecig. I used that for another few months and back in June, I decided to buy the eVic. I loved it until last night! (please read below).

My eVic was working fine in the morning, got back from work and decided to charge it since the battery shows 5%. I took it out of charge at around 65% since I'm about to go out. I put it in my pocket (I have a lanyard for it, I don't know why I didn't use it) and drove. When I got out of my car, I saw that the screen is showing the timer and its showing"3.6s". It was just stuck at that screen and I couldn't do anything so I removed the battery. I tried to turned it on by pressing the button 5 times but it wouldn't turned on. I finally got it to turned on after pressing the button multiple times. But for some reason its stuck on scrolling down. I checked if the switched is stuck and it wasn't. I remember it doing this before but I can fix the issue by just turning the switch the other way. But now its just constantly scrolling down. Any idea what's happening?

I searched the eVic sub-forum and couldn't find it there so if any knows whats going on, please help me out.

Thank you!

Strange things can happen when the circuit boards get dirty. Traces of e-liquid get inside and attract dirt and other contaminants. The usual fix is to wash it in 99% Isopropyl Alchohol (IPA, electronic PCB cleaner) and dry thoroughly. I don't have an eVic so I can't give you the exact procedure that will work best. IPA will not hurt your device, but do check with other eVic owners before proceeding.
