Hi again, Kak - I do recommend you read all you can about it first in the diy threads, but I'll tell you that I bought some equipment I don't really use. I've been diy'ing for a couple of months, and here's a real simple list of what I use:
  • Some 30 ml glass bottles. I use about 4-6 of them, for my favorites. I don't need many, because I only vape about 3 ml a day. But I do make tobacco flavors, and it generally is better after a 30 day steep, so it stores well in the glass.
  • One or 2 dozen 10 ml plastic bottles, to make samples.
  • One 10 ml luer lock syringe for transferring VG & my VG based nicotine. I rinse & reuse, and replaced the first one because markings wore off. Very cheap, so get several. You can get a 14 ga needle for transferring but my vg is so thick, i usually just use the syringe without.
  • One 1 ml luer lock syringe and 18ga blunt needle for transferring flavorings. I rinse & reuse this too, and they're so cheap I'd get several
That's it, except for a bottle of VG, bottle of nic, and I started with about 10 different flavors. You can get the nic in different strengths, but I started with 48mg/ml rather than 100, because if I'm lazy or off a little on measurements, it won't matter as much, so it's more forgiving. Once you're comfortable, you can use stronger nic which will make it cheaper.

I over bought, and got a graduated cylinder, some pipettes and other "recommended" items I never use. I realize now that the cylinder is for making large quantities.

And one other great thing about diy - I made a large batch of my standard 14mg nic base, to make mixing easy. Then I found that I sometimes prefer vaping the unflavored for a while, or may just tank mix a little squirt of my mixed juice to make the unflavored just lightly flavored. My taste buds seem to change by the week, and diy lets you customize everything you vape.

Here's a link to my favorite calculator. Just plug in your supplies, what you want, and it tells you how much of everything to add....easy. http://..................../create

^^ My Smoke stick and an old Zippo as a memory

I want to wish you the best of luck with everything and it seems like you are well on your way to getting your life in order and moving on.

Do not get rid of that zippo. For one, it is an awesome looking one. And 2, it is still a very useful tool. For most it is for lighting up a cancer stick, but there are other uses, like lighting a fire.. lol. I remember once all my friends and family started vaping instead of smoking, we didn't have one lighter to light fireworks on the 4th of July. We actually had to go out and buy some... Also, it is a good icebreaker because there has been many times people would politely ask for a light. I would always apologize because I didn't have one. But it could be a good icebreaker to find the next love of your life or even make new friends. And even cooler, it can be a way for segway into making conversation about vaping over smoking if they are interested in quitting.

That lighter is in more ways a reminder not to smoke anymore, but that is the most important thing.

Ha! So true. I couldn't count the times I, or a family member, "expected" me to have a lighter in my pocket. Most of the beer I drink (that I don't brew myself) is in a non-twist off bottle. And I always opened it with the bic lighter in my pocket. Now I frequently have to run around looking for an opener, or some device I can improvise to pry my bottle open! :toast:

Guess I'll have to get a mod that has an opener, or is shaped like a bic!

That should be the next big innovation of a mod.. bottle opener.. And maybe a wine opener as well. Swiss Army should make a mod...

Thank you! Thank you all for your attention. Today, for the first time in two months, I go with a friend to have a beer. I must say that I still force myself to do this more than I want, but still I'm going somewhere besides of work or home ... heh

I also had an idea. I'll make a polymer clay case for my stick. It will look like my stick is made of ivory. I hope I will succeed. I will occupy my hands with work, so as not to think with my head. I also promise to keep you updated on the whole creative process.

Idle hands are the devil's playground. Bad things happen when there is nothing to do and your mind starts to think. Glad to hear you are keeping yourself occupied. But seriously, it is best to know and to get out of a situation when you did before it dragged on and became too late.

Finding the love of your life is like finding the perfect vape setup. You may not find it on the first go around or even the 5th. But eventually you will get there and find the perfect setup for you.

Hi!
Thank you, I have noticed the white tongue thing for sure, and yes I am always crazy thirsty!!!!
Where do I figure out how to DIY liquids? How do I get started, is there a website you can point me to?

Thanks bunches for the advice!!!

You're quite welcome.
Anna (@stols001 ) gave you a link for the DIY section in this forum that you should read
to familiarize yourself with DIY and there is always somebody like us handy to answer any questions you have.
There are several juice calculators available but ejuice me up is the one I use.
It comes with a data base of many different flavors you can try
and you can save any that you make up.
Here: eJuice Me Up - Free Download - Tucows Downloads

Have phun!
