Hello, Just wanted to introduce my self.

I am from San Antonio Tx, I live in the Babcock/Medical area, been smoking for eleven years a pack and a half a day, just ordered a couple of e-cig starter kits, one from dietsmokes.com and one from epuffer. I'm a little worried about when I will get them because of the situation with the FDA but hopefully it will work out. I tried a "smoke everywhere" product at La Cantera, was blown away by the throat hit and then saw all the bad reviews online so figured I would actually order from somewhere else but the smoke everywhere gave me an idea about what to expect. I am looking forward to receiving my 801 from diet smokes and my mini from epuffer. I'd like to hear opinions on the products that I ordered from other members of the forum.

Welcome to ECF. I think you have done fine with your purchase for a start to vaping. Did you get a usb pass through for each, and a bottle of liquid too? If not you may want to pick that up next. The usb comes in handy if you experience any battery problems, as you can still vape through your computer while you work it out. The liquid is used to refill your cartridges.

Good luck to you. Hopefully you can contain yourself and not keep having to upgrade like most of us. Tee hee =)

Yeah, the kit i ordered off of epuffer came with an extra atomizer, 5 extra cartridges, some juice, esb cable and a case...pretty much the works, it is a dse901 black with blue led...then the one I ordered from dietsmokes is an 801 standard kit also black/blue led that I would like to use at home and i ordered some of Parked's 555 ejuice (one of the only ones available). I am pretty excited and can't wait to use them...does anyone know if the whole situation with the fda is gonna cause problems with my shipment...also any reccomendations as far as accessories, juice, etc. is welcome. talk to ya'll later.

Welcome! After trying both and finding a favorite among the two I recommend another two starter kits of your favorite and some back up atomizers and some more carts and juice. At replacing a pack and a half a day you will need more than just one starter kit. Switching off on the two will help a lot in the beginning and is better than what most people start off with. I have both and each the 901 and the 801 have their strengths and weaknesses. These two models are probably the most popular though so for your first purchase you did great. I think you will find that the penstyle (801) battery life will be much better than the 901 as well as the cartridge capacity. There is a ton of information on the site, including reviews so dig in and ask any questions that you may have. Good luck and welcome.

the part that was skipped in your questions...no, the FDA won't take your order. dietsmokes is actually in texas i believe, if memory serves...and he's just mailing from there to you. the FDA is an issue if ordering overseas, but generally this is only affecting the suppliers that are buying huge amounts of product, not small packages that individuals are ordering.

I've had a supermini for 4 months and its great b/c it helps you get over real cigarettes b/c it looks like a real one.

I just got my 801 last week and I love the feel and look of the penstyle and it draws so much easier.

I think you made good choices..I was so anxious to get them in the mail..keep us updated..

I just got my 801 kit last week and I have to warn you , at first it tasted like licorice,, it was really gross but I was informed it was the primer that came on the atomizer and it needs to be vaped off to get the real tastes of the juices..

I would just keep puffing and blowing it out (not inhaling) I even ran my atomizer part under hot water and let it sit over night it was so gross..

I would just keep puffing and blowing it out (not inhaling) I even ran my atomizer part under hot water and let it sit over night it was so gross..

After cleaning an atomizer, it's a good practice, once it is dried out, to put a couple of drops of either VG or juice on the coil when you first use it after cleaning. And it's best to always keep your carts moist. Do not let them get too dry or you could burn out your atomzier.
