Hello @Rick Armstrong, the only thing that should matter is the resistance that you prefer. As all tanks and atomisers can and will work with both freebase and salt Nicotines.

You just don't really want to use low ohm DTL style stuff with high mg/ml, as it'll make you nic sick very quickly.

I have the SMOK RPM8O Pro system. It has 2 interchangeable tanks/coils. 1 says RGC. The other says RPM. I was told that 1 was for Salt Nics, the other for e-juices. Does anyone know which is which?
Welcome and glad you joined.
I have found that individual taste is really up to the person who makes the decision based on their particular wants. Suggest using a nic what works for you.

Welcome to ECF and really at lower resistances do NOT use high nic salt or you will o/d yourself.
Nicotine OD is not fun, Try starting out low like 3 or 6 mg or whatever you are using in freebase. Salts aren't different (that much) other than less throat hit which I'd imagine you aren't getting anyway.

For high MG nicotine you need an entirely different setup and way of vaping. It has many names but I go by what I learned first MTL or mouth to lung, you don't inhale as much vapor per puff. Etc. More like smoking a cigarette.
