so i just got a new mod INVADER 3 by Tesla .
IT WAS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
after inserting my AWT batteries 40A with 3000mAh and the atty with 0.22 ohms
it did not even fire. just gave me a few pulse and after that when i pressed the firing button again , it just gave 5 blinks .

i know I'm not the only one experiencing this . i dont want my money to go to waste and i really want to try fixing this problem .

Five flashes on a Tesla Invader means something is wrong with either the battery or tank/coil. It's probably not the mod. Tesla is a good brand.

The manual that came with the device will tell you how to interpret the number and pattern of flashes.

+1, check the manual. And charge the batteries fully. You may wish to get some batteries from Sony or LG. AWT are re-wraps and nowhere near 40 amps CDR. Assuming the 3000mAh figure is correct, they might be in the 18-20A range, if a quality cell is what's underneath the wrapper. Or not. Welcome to the board.

Low voltage or short circuit...

You know, don't you, that those are no where near 40 amp cells, right?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

I'm betting that he doesn't. In fact, anyone who's never been to ECF wouldn't know that there's no such animal as a 40a 18650.

@BorneoBro ... I found a PDF of the manual for the Tesla Invader III.

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0267/1841/files/Tesla_Invader_III_User_Guide-20151230.pdf

As I suspected, that's a low battery, a bad battery or a bad connection in or with your tank.

You should read this, too.

New AWT 40A Batteries Trustable?

More than likely, the batteries you have are 20a, which are still fine in your mod assuming they're of decent quality. But if I were you and that was my $$$ at risk, I'd get a pair of Samsung 25R's, 30Q's or VTC5A's. Tonight.

Howdy! I own a TESLA INVADER 3. The manual said if it blinks 5 times the issue is one of the following: Low Voltage, Over Puffing, Atomizer short, Device too hot, Over current. I had one for over a year and when died it would only give 1 blink. The issue has be one of the above. I bought a second Invader and has been fine. Good Luck!

Don't know the mod well, but if you have continued problems might want to try and get a replacement/warranty? Tesla products do have a pretty good reputation for reliability as far as I've seen, but if you have a brick and mortar near you, might be worth taking it there to see if any of the staff can help.

Best of luck getting things going well!

Did you ever use the thing at its highest setting on a 0.10 Ohm coil?
