Investing into vv mod

Hello ecf!
I now have a setup with a bolt mod with extender using 3.7 18650 battery's. I have a vivi nova on it now. I want to get a variable voltage mod that can use with 18650s and I want to get a rebuild able atomizer. I have a Phoenix on the way from madvapes. What do you guys suggest for a new vv? I want to keep it under 100$ for the mod itself. The provari would be nice but 150$ is pushing it. Thanks guys

Welcome , these days the Vamo (around 40.00 to 50.00 ) and the Segelei Zmax ( around 60 to 70.00 ) are very good choices . They both have VV , as well as VW . I have several of these in SS , and actually have been using them more than my Provari , because I like using the Varible wattage settings , that the Provari doesn't have . Good Luck .

I lost my Provari and instead of buying a new one, decided to buy two units for under the price of a Provari.

The Itaste MVP
and the
Sigelei Zmax
both from Vapor Alley

I use the Itaste all day and then recharge when I come home and use the Zigelei while it's charging on my Cel Charger which takes about an hour and 1/2

I like both of them for different reasons. The Itaste is just too cool, it lasts for more than 2 days on a charge and it's shorter than the Zigelei. I think the design is more elegant than the long tube mods.

The Zigelei has Atomizer testing, Variable Watts, Variable Volts and is built like a tank.
It takes your 18650 battery and comes with two endcaps so you can use shorter or longer 18650 batteries.

I have a ProVari, a Vamo and the Zmax. If you want to "invest" in something, you need to get the ProVari as it will hold its value.

If you want an inexpensive, easy to use PV, then I would suggest the Vamo as the buttons are pretty simple. You don't have to scroll through the whole menu like you would the Zmax. Set it and forget it.

Two out of 3 zmax's I got from Sigelie had flaws (one cracked screen, one crooked screen) and yes, these were the later versions. One was produced after the Chinese NY, so is very new and still they can't get QC right. The Vamo I have is black chrome, and the finish is wearing off. So none of these is going to be high quality, but they will produce vapor just fine.

Do people have many problems with the provari? It seems like a step ahead for mods. And it's USA made right?? How much would a provari run for in a brick and mortar store? Would it be good with a genisis style tank?

That is all I use on mine. And yes, USA made. I don't have a B&M, so can't comment on the price. I got mine from ProVape, and if you buy one of their "blemished" ones you can save a bit more. My "blem" was a faded logo, and I haven't heard of anyone ever finding anything wrong with theirs. And it vapes perfectly every time. My Vamo also has a genny. The Zmax I gave to DH because I hate waiting for that stupid sideways logo to get out of my way when I want to adjust something.

My sigelei is flawless no glitches, guess I'm lucky!

What does blemished mean?

What does blemished mean?

It means it didn't pass the quality control for the finish. They have stringent standards, and no one I know of who got a blemished one really found anything wrong. I am sure if it was something really bad they would not even sell it as a blem. Mine the logo was a bit more faded than it should be. The rest was perfect, and I searched and searched to find out why they discounted it. The logo was the only thing, it was just not dark enough. I don't need a logo to tell me it is a provari though, and I think mine is fine just the way it is

Since you get the same warranty on it as unblemished, the important parts work just fine. Even with a blemish, the fit and finish is far superior to any of chinese units I have.

There is not really a point in buying a provari in a brick and mortar, provape is going to be the best price and they ship it for free. As for genesis, it's great for them as long as you don't want sub 1ohm coils. It's also a safe way to test your coils prior to using them on something else. The Z-Atty-Pro is a genesis RBA specifically made for the provari (it looks purdy on it) but any 510 threaded variety will work.

I have had vamos, evics, zmax's, mvp's and ego twists...I sold them all, I have provari's and mechanicals/hybrids only now. If you want something cheaper and don't need to go above 5 volts, the MVP would be my recommendation or an evic if you need to check ohms as well.

Honestly, I just wasn't feeling the vape from the vamo or zmax at all. Maybe just a me thing, plenty of people like them.

I bought mine at a B&M, and the price was what Provari shows as a "list price"
    List Price:$199.95
    Sale Price: $159.95
So yes, you pay for the convenience. The reason I was willing to pay a premium for mine is I consider it an investment in my future. Those B&M's could possibly be all we have when the government gets through with us. Sure don't want them going away. Besides, I got to look at it, feel it, even try it out before I laid out the cash.

You can use most anything you want on any of the VV PV's, including a gennie. Seems like an A7 mini RDA has become a permanent fixture on mine.

Don't know about the Genesis Tank, or retail store, if you are looking for a discount Provape is perfectionists and often sell blemished units at a discount and many have said they can't find the blemish.Provape is the manufacturer and they control there channel tightly so you won't find a better deal online on a new provari except from them, can't say if a brick and mortar retailer would or could get away with discounting the Provari.

I had a Provari Version 1 and it did break once but only due to changes in Clearomizer Technology. A 1.8Ohm Vivi Nova made the Circuit Board go permanently Whacko and than not fire. When Vs 1 was produced the Low Res Cartos weren't around so I don't blame Provape.
They fixed it, it took two times but finally they replaced the whole circuit board. It did cost but unlike the Chinese Mods I didn't have to throw it away.
For regular Vaping the Provari rules. It's the Hummer of units. Extremely accurate, always fires, takes a beating. It has a 1 year warranty and you can expect it to last for years.

The drawback is that it doesn't have the new features of many Mods such as Variable Watt Vaping and also I don't believe it has the highest amperage chips. So if you will be doing normal 3-7Watt vaping I can highly recommend it as an investment. But it isn't designed for Extreme vaping.

I prefer Box mods and recently lost the Provari. I was using a 6 amp beast from Smoktek (Not Smoktech) which only lasted me 6 months but I always felt good having the Provari as a back up unit.

When I lost my Provari, I bought an Itaste MVP and a Sigelei Zmax.
I love the Itaste Mvp for it's simplicity, comfortable form factor, elegance, excellent filtering, and the Sigelei is a good backup and has the OHM Meter and Variable Wattage.

Yes I recommend the Provari, for it's reliability and build factor. The Sigelei and the Ivape MVP don't have a durability track record that the Provari has. The newest revisions that I have seem to have excellent build quality and previous issues have been fixed.
