I clicked "invisible mode" under User Cp edit options, so why do I show up as "currently viewing this thread"? Also my name appears when I view another's profile, is this supposed to happen under invisible mode?

Also, just to throw it out there, there is an active thread on ecig discussions called 'lr attys". When I was ordering yesterday, I used the search mode for lr atty threads and it did not come up, tho I knew it was there, just couldn't remember where.

thanks friend

The "Currently Viewing This Thread" is probably a add-on for vbulletin ECF added for the members benefit. Most add-ons have some sort of bug associated with them. Probably something you have to deal with.

The search bug might have been ECF admin re-indexing the search table. They have to do this from time to time to help speed searches up and keep the forums organized and running smooth.

I am in no way positive about any of these, its just my best guess. I know my way around running a vbulletin forum so I am pretty good at guessing though. It's alot more work behind the scenes than people know. :D

Note the * next to your name designating that you're only seen by yourself and moderators.

If the word is common or shorter then 3 characters, vBulletin removes the word from the search. You should use advance search and do a "In Titles Only" search else you'll find all posts with the word as well.

"Currently Viewing This Thread" is part of vBulletin.

vBulletin 3 series uses MyISAM Full Text search capability which indexes on the fly, there is no "re-indexing" unless you count deleting the index and recreating it (which you should never do)
