I've noticed a couple of you have ordered some IKV io6's but as yet haven't caught an opinion on them, so I'll give you mine:

Wowzers!

I received 2 each of HV and LR yesterday and haven't quite experienced anything like them before. The one LR I have in use on my Mini came in @ 2.0 ohms - Ikenvape's site claims 1.8. Whatever. They don't seem to be primed with anything.
OMG what beautimous clouds of vapor, flavor, AND throat hit. Right out of the box! I haven't had the strange soapy taste reported by some - unless it has been masked by the tremendous flavor my juice is suddenly capable of producing. It's unreal.
It squonks like a banshee; I'm using a pretty thin juice in there and can't seem to flood it, I just took my 16th hit since my last little squonk (I probably have a little auto-feeding going on, too). This thing and a Reo seem to be a match made in heaven!

Now for the HV I have to reserve judgment, for with the direct-dripping I have to do on my VV mod I haven't gotten a grip on its use. It is hindered by the special drip-tip it needs, and the one available does a miserable job of feeding the juice to the atty - not an issue for our beloved Reo. But when I get it working it is as splendiferous as its LR brother.

Ah. Hit #18 and I finally get to squonk!

Oh, my, that's great.

So. As if my opinion matters, if you have a little extra cash laying around you oughta consider a LR io6. Obviously I can't speak to its longevity having had them for a day and a half.

I bought one of them also in the 1.8. It will be the next atty I put on when I have to change one out. I am very excited about the possibilites. Heard some good things so far! Thank you for posting!

Nice review. They do perform pretty nice. Although, I only get 8 hits in before I need to squonk or get a dry hit afterwards. Also found that it needed some time to break in. At the beginning it performed ok but an hour or two later. It started to come to life and it's been performing better with time. I will also say that they give PLUMES of vapor with every exhale. TH started off as pretty weak but has gotten very satisfying.

Also have to mention about some of the negative aspects of this atomizer as well. I have to say that the flavor isn't as good as I expected compared to my cisco 306's and joye 510's. Another small gripe that I have with it, is that it's kind of like a proprietary atomizer. Which means that you really do have to get the i06 DT with it or else you would not be able to use it. I like how the DT was designed but it's a little short and so, I got some juice coming out of it sometimes. It would be nice to have more options with drip tips. I hope that IKV comes out with a XL metal or XL version in the future.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about this atomizer. It performs really well in some aspects and falls short in others. Would really like to see how long these lasts and if it gets better the longer I use it. So, I'm just going to leave it at that right now.

Just got mine in the mail today so these are my first impressions after about 1 hour of use.

I like this atomizer! Right out of the package I have been impressed. I have tried LR 501's, LR 306's IKV Cannon Stealths, IKV Stealth 901's and other 901s. So far from using this for about an hour, I am getting the best flavor I have yet from an atomizer. I am a flavor junky and this is satisfying my flavor needs very well so far. It is also putting out very impressive vapor production also. I am a PG vaper, never more than 30% vg, and normally only 20%, so I generally dont have plumes of vapor from my Reos, GOOD vapor but not like the 100% vg users. This atty is putting out more vapor than I have gotten in the past from the other attys I have tried. I have also not been a major throat hit junky, and this atty is very surprising on it's TH. It on the high end of perfect for me.

Now this is the utterly subjective part, and again it's only my first hour or so with this atty. But I have found with all my other attys, I get a very dry scratchy throat in the first 2-5 mins of vaping with an atty. Again I am a PG user so I am not surprised. Often I find going to a carto helps with this. This has not happened to me yet with this atty.

I think what is really the thing I like about this one is the flavor. I am purposely using a "hit or miss" juice to test this one. I am tasting a LOT more than I ever did. The flavor notes are just turned up a notch it seems. Kinda like Hi Def, where its not a mish mash of flavor.

So in summary:

Flavor: Best I have had yet.
Vapor: Best I have had yet.
Throat Hit: Just right for me.

I have to agree with the propritary drip tip issue. That being said I do like the one that you can get. It is a bit short, but I like the feel of it (which is personal to each person). I read in the beta thread that Cherry Vape may make something for it, so thats hope I guess.

All in all, I would say that if you value flavor and vapor production, these could be worth a try. I hope the longevity is there. I will see, as I am gonna torture this first one on my new woodvil for as long as I can stand it. If they stand up, they will be in my box, and probably an atty of choice for me anyway.

Edit: oh i forgot, it is a bit of a tight draw that I like, but may turn some off.

Well I ordered 2 of these and just got mine in today so I have to throw in my .02.

I have to start off saying that I have really been anti-atty since I started vaping about 2 months ago. When I first got my eGo kit, I ordered one of their LR attys with my kit and I never really could get the hang of it. I also gave it a try with my Reo and it never really performed that well for me.

So for the last 20 min I have been vaping with my new i06 and WOW what a difference. The main reason I wanted to give attys another try is that my cartos seemed to really mute the flavor of my juices that weren't really sweet. (Ive mainly been using the Resurrector and Boge 2.0). This is really a day and night difference between my last atty experiences. I've been used to long draws on my cartos, so I was doing the same with this atty and wow plumes of smoke. I've got to remember to let off the button a lot sooner. Throat hit and flavor so far is also really nice.

Like others have said before, the proprietary drip tip is kind've a downer, but this one is actually better than the ones that I've been using before. It does fit really snug on the atty too, which is a good thing for me. Sometimes I've had them slip out a little too easy. (I think I've got one under the seat in my car now)

I think I may be converted to an atty user for a while, but I'm still getting the hang of them. Anyone have some tips on squonking with the i06?

Thank you!!! That almost made me not buy it!!! I will be working to find a remedy for it, you can bet on it. I have nice drip tips that I want to use. And I do not want to have to buy special tips if I use more than one of them on my REO's. In fact, I just won't buy more until I figure something out.

The one thing I'm hating about the io6 is the fact that it ruins the visual esthetics of my Reo. The fact that you have to use the plain black (and funky-looking) drip-tip is driving me nuts. I have to solve this! It's like using a Marks-A-Lot and drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa.

Yeah, that is the thing that sucks about it. I tried some of my other 306 DT and they simply won't fit due to the i06 being larger than 306's.

I just got mine!!! Slapped one on my Grand loaded with Boba's, dripped 6 drops right on the bridge and watched it soak in. Let it sit for a couple minutes, and then brought it to my lips and hit the button.

It gave a really loud pop, and I thought I popped it! I tried the button again and got a pleasant hiss. All was not lost. Now to give 'er a try.

All I have to say is fantastic! I can't seem to put the thing down. Great flavor and tons of vapor. I'm tempted to take my 1.8 306 off my mini before its time and put an i06 on it, as if I leave my house my mini is always with me (the Grand is my relaxing on the couch at home vape).

I looked sadly at my tackle box and saw my other four sitting there looking like they could use more company, went to the website, and they're out of stock... Subscribed to be notified, and will be buying more when they come back.

Even with dripping on the new atty, I give it a tiny squonk before firing the first time. Just makes sure you have juice on the coil also. I have forgot before and got that pop also. But not since I squonk. This is with any atty when new.

So I put another on my Mini and followed your advice nerak. No big pop :) Thanks!
Seems to have a much tighter draw than the one on my Grand, but I kinda like it. If I'm not careful, I'm going to vape myself into a coma tonight. hehe. Haven't hit them this hard since the day I got them. Just can't put them down!

edit: and even though I can't wait for the Cherry Vape DT or the i06 DCA, I have to say that the DT is really comfortable on the lips.
