IPV 2s questions, observations:

So I got the suitcase and after a week of using it regularly I gotta say it seems like a great device. This is my first box or regulated mod and I actually ordered an ipv mini but received this (I assume) by accident. Firstly to anyone who knows or has this device:

-how do I disable the touch fire heat sensor thing that seems like it's engineered to cause it to fire unintentionally?

-also, why does it say on dna vapor's site that you must use at least a 30a battery? There's no mention of this in the manual. (I'm guessing this is for those maxing out the 70 watts?)

My impressions are as follows:

-build quality seems pretty good, considering price point, Chinese made, etc. I have no lip on the battery door, and the connector threads do not appear crooked at all. Buttons have a slightly better than average feel but they do rattle around a little which I find a bit annoying.

- ohm reader seems accurate and consistent

-I like the presets, now that I have gotten used to them, but they do seem rather forced. Also, presets are saved after switching batteries

-seems like maybe the battery meter reads low. I find it quickly goes from 100% to 50 or 40%, but then takes a disproportionately long amount of time to get from there to 10%

-lastly, I find it a little funny and wonder if it's just mine but it takes 6 clicks to get it to turn on, 5 clicks to get it to turn off, (supposed to be 5 for both according to manual)

Right behind you...
You can deactivate the touch fire by pressing and holding the - and power buttons. To turn the sensor back on, press and hold + and power.

That 30a recommendation is correct if you want to run safely at the higher wattages. That's pulse, not constant, so a VTC4/5, Samsung 25R, LG HE2/HE4, Efest 2500, and a few others have pulse ratings of 30+.

What Croak said ... plus ...

How old is the battery? It's possible that the battery is going bad and this might cause it to lose it's' higher voltage output faster than its' lower voltage. Should be 5 clicks. Maybe for some reason that chip was accidentally programmed for 6 or perhaps one of your clicks isn't registering.

Congrats on your first regulated mod. The IPV line of mods are good performers.

The Samsung 25Rs are great performers and many people who used the VTC5s are moving over to them. Testing went very well on them and there's just so much risk attempting to buy VTC5s these days with most being knock offs (Though there is debate if VTC5s were legit Sonys to begin with) They should work just fine.

Have you tried reflashing the firmware to see if it fixes the quirkiness?
