Awesome combo,but the rebuildable spits and sputters juice in my mouth;

Not too familiar with the cotton thing,should the coils be wrapped/covered by cotton to prevent this?

And man,that metal drip tip is burning me lips at only 30w

Hey Martin, I know in the atlantis and ego one coils they've placed a bit of wire mesh above the cotton and coil to reduce spitback. Not sure if that would be possible in your application though, wouldn't want to short the thing out.

I've changed out the ego one dt with a wide bore delrin one I had from days gone by, to help with the heat in my case. Not sure if any of this will help you though.Cheers.

watch vids on kayfun builds on wicking as its very similiar to subtank
spitback - put ss mesh(can use aspire bvc mesh from coils) and place between drip tip and base of drip tip bore
hot drip tip - use delrin, pyrex etc drip tips, dont use solid metal drip tips as they transfer the heat

Yeah,It all came back to me after posting this...guess I`ve been pampered with my svoemestos all this time (no issues at all for over 2 years)

I ended up using a delrin tip with a length of wick in the tube

i have the exact same combo... i don't notice spit back..

.... when i first got my subtank last week i had an mvp 20w.. it spit everytime i fired it for the first 2 days..mind you i was using the atty's not the rebuildable.. then it stopped.. when my ipv 2s arrived this past week i put my subtank on it and the spit back didn't return..

i have yet to try the rebuildable though..i will try this week with new juices i got today from NYX as i was driving by today.
