Ipv D2 75W Mod and Uwell Crown Tank, Battery problem or mod?

Hello,

I'm completely new to the vaping world and I just recently bought myself an IPV D2 75W Box Mod with a black uwell Crown tank.

I started off using the dual .5 ohm coil running in parallel and I liked it a lot. I was vaping at around 40-55W. Everything was going dandy but then I kept getting the "Check Bat" warning. So, I replaced it. The battery that I have are the Sony VTC5s.

After charging it the mod would refuse to go any higher than 40W. It kind of annoyed me because it kept giving me the "Check Bat" warning. I assumed I needed to charge it more since it was at about 80%. However, after charging it for a while I tried again. This time at 50W I was getting a hint of burnt flavor that was getting worse with each vape so I took it out and checked the coil. At the top it started to turn a sort of Brownish color. ( a bit darker and all around the top in real life)

This is weird to me because the juice I'm using is a clear color. (70 VG/ 30PG 0 Nicotine Lychee flavor)

Did I burn the coil/cotton? Is that why I'm getting a burnt flavor?
Now, onto my next question. I replaced it with the dual .25 ohm coil. It was working fine but I can't get it higher than 55W without getting the same "Check Bat" warning. I've been charging my battery for a while now and I don't know whats up...Any advice would be helpful and appreciated. Sorry for the long post with a lot of questions, it just that I'm new and don't want to blow something up. If you need more information i'll gladly supply it. Thanks for the help.

Please read the instruction stickies for ATV...it is not an area that you can participate in your thread...

I have both the Crown and the IPV D2. Something is not right. Are you sure you're not in temp control mode?

Alright, I was just trying to understand the reasoning. Yes, I'm positive its in power mode

Coil doesn't look burnt at all. But try another coil, that's where I'd start with trouble shooting, as it might be shorting.

I can't even really test the dual .25 because I keep getting the "Check Bat"

Do you have another battery to try? If so, do that, if not, clean the battery contacts with rubbing alcohol.

I Have two both are having the same issue. I've been charging this battery for like 3-4 hours now and at 55W it stops working.

I would return the mod for a replacement. I can use a 2 year old vtc4 battery and my setup will work fine. It's either the batteries or the mod, not the tank.

Alright before I do that I'll try to get a friend's battery that I know for certain is working and test it in the mod. Thanks for the help. Would I contact the person I bought it from Ebay? or use the included warranty card.

Just went to a vape shop near me and they tested with a different battery. The problem was the battery. It was probably a fake since I bought online or faulty. Either way bought a new overpriced battery at the shop and vaping amazingly. Thanks for the help!
