I have an IPV3 that I use with Lemo tanks, Aspire Atlantis, Tugboat v2.
I picked up an ipv Mini thinking that would be a quick portable solution without carrying around that 1980's cell phone analog that is the IPV3 + Lemo

Anyone else notice that the IPV Mini always reads -0.10 ohm? While it doesn't really matter for the Lemo tanks build between 1.0 and 1.2, It does matter very much for the Aspire Atlantis.

Aspire Atlantis meters at 0.56.
IPV3 reads it at 0.6
IPV Mini reads 0.4.

I didn't think the mini would fire this low, but it does, just weak. I can get it to 3.7v max -> 30w, which is the same as the IPV3 at ~24w.

First time I have heard of a mod reading lower than it should, normally mods read about 0.05-0.1 ohms higher in my experience. Not really sure what you could do to remedy this, and as you said, if you go lower into the sub-ohm category you could have some issues with your mod not firing. Perhaps you could contact where you purchased it and see if they would offer you an exchange?

I own two of them. The wife liked it and kept taking it, so I got one for her. Both purchased from eciggity, both read identical (-0.1), so was thinking it was just a bug in the device, since sample size is now > 1 ?

The only bummer is I picked up the mini & the atlantis as a quick grab & go setup - compact with some kick w/o farting around with rebuilding.

In vapingwithtwisted420's youtube review of the ipv mini, he found the same bug. I'd guess it's pretty common and, more generally common that .5 ohm builds don't play well with the sx 130 chip. I will say that with my Cana (different chip altogether), i get best results by building at 1.5-2.0 ohms and cranking up the wattage. If I were you, I'd just roll with a rebuildable built at or just below one ohm and use the atlantis with the ipv.

Yup, that's what I've been doing. 1.0 - 1.2 works well on the mini for me, atlantis is stuck on higher power devices. Just annoying. Glad I'm not the only one to come across this.
