I just got mine last night from VaporDNA. Put a Sony VTC4 battery, fully charged, in it and was vaping fine with no problems for about 30 min. I set it on my desk until I got home from work today. (used a sigelei 150 watt all day, great mod so far). My wife and I got into a disagreement about whether or not I had left her a spare battery to use while I was at work. So I unscrewed the bottom cap on the ipv Mini V2 and sure enough it was her spare battery, oops! She was right as usual.

But then when I replaced the battery, it flashed the IPV logo, as it does whenever you put in a new battery, but then it would not turn on!! So I got another VTC4 out also fully charged and tried it. Again the logo flashed but still would not turn on. This time as I was unscrewing the bottom cap I noticed the logo flashed again so I stopped unscrewing it and tightened it up again until I saw the logo flash again and stopped. Sure enough it turns on and fires no problem. But this is also about 3 or 4 turns from being completely screwed in. And no I am not over torquing it. Just screwing it in until it naturally stops.

Any ideas on how to easily fix this? This is actually a replacement for a IPV Mini I bought that died within a week of owning it!!
And now this one did not even last 30 minutes of use before running into a problem!!!

Thanks!
Ash:(

Yeah I do the same, unfortunately I doubt that will help my issue. I wish I could get to the positive contact & spring a bit easier. Then I could probably fix it on my own.

This one is a no brainer. Simple to open and access. Nothing major to worry about as it is very well assembled.

Well if it is a no brainer, what are you suggesting to do? Remember what is a no-brainer to some is not to others.

Ash

Battery removed
Mod lying on its side, Remove (2) side case screws.
Lift off side plate - all parts will remain in main frame.
Top pin will be fully exposed. Clean as needed.
Place side plate in place and make sure it is aligned - seam narrow.
Install and snug screws.
Insert battery and power on.

Yeah that's what I am thinking as well. Just wanted to avoid doing that  The last time I did a return with this store it took a month and 27 emails and when they finally got me the new mod they accidentally overcharged me and it was this mod that was the exchange, they let me upgrade for the exchange from the Mini 30 watt to the Mini 2 70 watt. I really do not want to go through that again! Also their hours just happen to coincide with my work hours exactly so its exceedingly difficult to call them.
