I got the ipv Mini V2 last night. It's wonderful. The upgraded chip has a better and more accurate performance than the V1. I'm very impressed. The V2 at 25w performs better than the V1 at 30w. It's been consistent and does what it's supposed to do.

Very happy with the improvements on this device; performance, fire down to 0.2ohm, and can max out to 70w.

They got rid of the useless "Mobile" option. They included a lock/unlock option by pressing both the up and down button at the same time.

It is DC-DC only :)

Question for y'all IPV Mini owners...

Can anyone recommend a good "pocket-ish" size zipper case that could accommodate:

IPV mini
4 Kanger Aerotank MOW Mega tanks

I currently have an Ego Case (medium) that the four tanks fit ok in (tilted slightly sideways) and a Kanger EVOD VV 1600mah... But like most the pouches open opposite each side of case vs all opening in same direction.

Saw this case in another thread - would it work better for the IPV Mini + tanks?

Any other non-man bag suggestions would also be appreciated.

That's a lot to go in a pocket!

Seriously I'd hit up a Walgreens or CVS and look at Diabetes kit bags, they usually have elastic straps to hold syringes and insulin. So they should be perfect for your intended use... and there are many different sizes to choose from!

Ok - vapemail arrived and I've been testing out the IPV Mini... And I have noob questions.

My prior battery was a Kanger VV with Aerotank EMOW Mega tanks.
Normally I run 1.8Ω dual coils, but ended up with some 1.5Ω in my last order.
Juice is 50/50.

With my Kanger VV, 4.2-4.4v was my sweet spot.
Enter same tanks / liquids with my new IPV Mini... 9.3W shows 4.0v - so I give it a shot - figuring I'm starting "lower" than my norm.

Choke On Burnt Smoke!
(Go ahead and laugh at my noobness - my wife did :0)

Further testing shows 8.0-8.5w is about right - which is showing 3.7-3.8v... And no real change in PWM vs DC-DC.

Is this normal?

Keeping in mind in not looking to change into new tanks just yet (love these MOW Megas) - would I be better sticking to 1.8Ω on my next coil order and just keep in mind the IPV settings I discovered vs what my VV settings were? Any clue why the Kanger VV voltage settings are so far off from the IPV watt vs vv readings?

Thanks for any help / suggestions and putting up my noobish questions.

Just picked up the IPV mini today along with the Kanger Sub Mini Tank. This was purely a back up to my Sigelei 100w when I travel throughout Canada and to the U.S. I know there won't be issue at airports but a little bit of me would rather lose an IPV mini over the almighty Sig and the larger Kanger Sub.
If both devices crash, then I have the aspire cf vv as the end resort fall back.
I like the feel of the IPV in my hand. Looks great with the KS(mini)tank. Just can't wait to see how the new Fogger V6 looks on both devices.

You are definitely Having Relational misconceptions. Nothing new and many of us have had them.
Your New mod has the ability to PUNCH out the power required and vv sticks cannot come close in pure performance.

First, Set the IVP back into PWM mode and understand, when it matches Battery output to the Resistance of the device, it will AUTO switch to DC-DC. i.e. best for whatever you are using.
Next, drop your tanks to 7w or so and gradually increase as you take several Vapes to determine where you really like it.
Power setting is NOT a good Reference until you know what setting you enjoy and it is rarely the same on different devices.

Also note, the IPV Mini Kicks extra power(about 1v) for .8 seconds when fired. Think of it as a Quick preheat of the coil. Several Nice mods have this type of power feature available.

Lastly, there is a Huge difference in Power control in PWM compared to DC-DC, but you have to Test carefully. An RDA would be good for testing, a Clearo might get cooked.
My wife is using one of the (2) I purchased to power her ProtankII's equiped with AFC Base. They work excellent at 7w PWM mode.

Just be thankful you didn't do that with a sub-ohm coil!

Whenever you change resistance it changes everything else! Also going from a dual coil to a single changes things as well!

Be safe, always start low and work your way up! I am also assuming that you primed the new coil with juice first!

Welcome to the iPV mini thread!

Oh, and according to what I've read in this forum PWM is only for when you go below the batteries actual voltage.

Has anyone experienced any issues with the iPV Mini display? Seems mine died tonight. Started with a flickering and then garbled screen, and now nothing.

Still fires, but can't see the adjustment. I've tried removing and re-installing the battery. Hopefully I can get it serviced under warranty. I'm pretty disappointed. I take good care of my mods, and this one has only been used since Christmas day.

No. But I believe someone reported that issue several pages back.

Asmodus can repair it.

Hopefully. I haven't dealt with them before, so I'm setting my expectations very low. I have already pre-paid the $8 handling fee and it will be dropped in the mail on Tuesday.

The kicker is that I had awesome looking carbon fiber Vaporskinz wrap on it, and I'm fairly certain it won't be returning with it whether it's repaired or replaced.

True as if repaired they'll have to pull it off to access the hex screws. Most likely they'll just replace your mod, but I have no experience with Asmodus service department!
