I'm curious to see if anyone has a preference between the IPV3, the sigelei 150w and the sigelei 100w Plus? Is there a better build quality in one vs. the other? Any quirks to look out for? Pretty sure I won't be going anywhere near 150 watts but wanted to get some opinions. Additionally, is there another similar regulated box mod that gets the nod over any of these 3?

From what I'm hearing the Sigelei 100w plus is the best of the bunch in terms of performance and build quality. Make sure you pick up a couple of new batteries and "marry" them with your device and you should be set.

Thank you! Any recommendations on battery brands? Everyone says go Sony but I keep hearing that there are more fake Sony's than real Sony's....I will spend top $$ on batteries for safety's sake.....thoughts? Also, what about a charger? I've heard that the efest is great as well as the Nitecore. I am looking for something that will allow me to charge for long periods of time while i'm away without worrying about doing damage to them (set it and forget it).....something that is virtually idiot proof.

I dunno where to point you for batteries, my local b&m carries sonys, or at least damn good fakes. As far as the charger, I have an efest with overcharge protection, .5&1amp settings, voltage readout, etc. It has served me well for @30-35$

Yeah its seperate, they all use Yihi chips though. I have all 3 models though and can definitely attest to the 150 being the best iteration thus far. I hate my IPV3, feels flimsy to me, the stupid non working touch sensor is aggrevating, the screws to hold the battery panel in place get real annoying, and the battery springs can tear up your battery casing...The Sigelei 150 has practically put all my other high wattage mods into retirement. And btween the Sigelei 150 and 100, personally I just hate the swoosh on the side of the 100 :p Plus, I mean c,mon, battery panel magnets, free silicon case, huge battery life...need I say more???

Edit: Oh yeah and the Samsung 25r's work great in there. Great substitute until we see VTC5's roll out again...

I was facing that same decision, and after looking at a TON of reviews and videos I finally decided on the Sig150. General opinion seemed (with exception) to favor it over the IPV's with regard to general functionality. It is more power than I will ever need, but I think it was the fact that the battery door requires no screws that finally did it for me. On the other hand, it has no USB charging port like the IPV3, and I feel like if I had to charge it on the go I would prefer to plug a usb cord into my truck or computer rather than drag around extra 18650s and a 2 slot charger.

That being said, I haven't even received it yet and I am kicking myself for not going with the iStick 50 as it is significantly smaller, and like I said, I will never need 150w.

Well, finally got my sig150 today. I really like using it, but the button is TRASH. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that it literally sounds like a baby rattle. I thought maybe there was some loose piece of plastic or metal rattling around inside the thing, but no, it is the firing button. When pressing the button, it crunches and grinds and locks up and snaps down, it is awful. The only way to prevent this is to line up the tip of my finger dead center on the button and push precisely straight in before putting it up to my mouth. The 5 button pushes in rapid succession required to power on and off the device usually takes several attempts. One or several pushes tend not to register, even if it feels like they have been successful pushes. It is hard to imagine how such a small button can even fit such a large amount of loose tolerance in it. You may think I am exaggerating, but I genuinely cannot recall pushing a worse button on any device of any kind before.

Aside from that, the chip has some glitch where, when powering off, it says "system off" but then goes back to the normal screen for several seconds, but this is intermittent and not a big deal.

I am never going to pay the shipping (plus "administration fees," required to be paid before sending it in for warranty work) and then wait (several weeks or months, I would assume) to get it fixed, and the place I bought it from is now out of stock, so I will probably just engrave "Maraca" on it in fancy lettering and live with it.

I just got the Sigelei 150 and I really like it. Finally I have the power to push the coil builds I've been wanting to do.

I have a couple of concerns about it though. Like mentioned, the button isn't up to the build quality I would have hoped for. It's nice, but not perfect. I can live with it though. The second, is that the 510 connector does not seem to be centered on the top, at least on mine. So when I screw the RDA (in this case a Plum Veil 1.5 clone) into it, it's not perfectly centered.

Also, anyone notice the neoprene sleeve smells really, really, really bad? Like some seriously harmful chemicals?
