Hi guys, I am very new to vaping and I have a few questions to ask as I stumbled upon this page.

I got the IPV4s+LG HG2 (chocolate bar) Batts+Bellus RTA+Tiger Wire 26GA as a gift from one of my mates from work and being a smoker for past 20 odd years, its interesting to move on to something to healthier I suppose.

Well anyways, I have seen youtube videos and all on how to put on the coil and wicking.

One issue I faced when I put on 2 coils of the above mentioned, the Mod showed it was low resistance error. Could not get it to fire.

So, I put in just one and it worked fine, but the bellus has leaking issues which I found a trick to stop it from leaking. its either to put on a good wicking, or to have the airholes closed, filled her up with juice and cap it back, turn it upside down and open the airflow and leave it for few secs and your good to go. Never had a leak at all there on forward.

My ohm is currently 0.44 and I vape at around 12-15watts depending on the flavour and it shows 2.30-2.56V on the IpV4s.

my question is, why could I not put on 2 coils or am I doing something wrong? And another question is, I noticed the juice finishes up fast, I probably guess because its a sub ohm tank. I could be wrong. And lastly, am I vaping safely at this set up? I dont want to have things explode in my face and I have read that anything below 0.5 ohms is bad.

Please enlighten me.
Thank You.

The mod has a cutoff to how low it will fire while still being safe. You wrapped 2x .44Ω coils (assuming they are identical). You add one to your RTA and it works fine, when you add the second coil it cuts your total resistance in half. So the .44Ω goes down to .22Ω (maybe lower). The chip in the mod says it's too low and won't work. And yes vaping sub ohm will crush some juice fast. You are kind of vaping safely...but putting coils on a device and using it then wondering if you built safely isn't the best way to go. Do some more research on coil building and ohm's law.

With a pair of coils at a total of 0.22 ohms, the device should still be able to fire it. Check and make sure neither of the coils was touching any metal and causing a short. That is the only thing I can imagine caused it. The IPV4s should be able to fire all the way down to 0.1 ohms, so even at 0.22 ohms, that shouldn't have been an issue.

The batteries are rated at 20A, so you should be safe all the way up to about 120 watts with them. Personally, I would go no higher than 110 watts just to be safe. Obviously, if you are getting good flavor at much less than that, there is nothing wrong with running it at a low wattage(I have a sigelei 150w mod and I rarely go above 30 watts with it).

Also, what part of Illinois are you from?

The coils I got were premade by wotofo. I did read up on ohms law but I still dont pretty much understand it.

From what I understand is, the batteries must have enough amp

I only tried once the very first time and did not try again with dual coils. I guess I was still new to it and it might be the cause. but will try again in the future.
im at naperville.

Update : I was able to coil at 0.103 ohms dual coils.
1.50V at 25 watts.

more vapor and flavor.

had the low resistance error cuz the coil was touching the binding post.

lotsa trial and error.
A good reason to have a regulated MOD. A mechanical mod might have self destructed violently with that shorted coil.
