Hi guys, I am very new to vaping and I have a few questions to ask as I stumbled upon this page.

I got the IPV4s+LG HG2 (chocolate bar) Batts+Bellus RTA+Tiger Wire 26GA as a gift from one of my mates from work and being a smoker for past 20 odd years, its interesting to move on to something to healthier I suppose.

Well anyways, I have seen youtube videos and all on how to put on the coil and wicking.

One issue I faced when I put on 2 coils of the above mentioned, the Mod showed it was low resistance error. Could not get it to fire.

So, I put in just one and it worked fine, but the bellus has leaking issues which I found a trick to stop it from leaking. its either to put on a good wicking, or to have the airholes closed, filled her up with juice and cap it back, turn it upside down and open the airflow and leave it for few secs and your good to go. Never had a leak at all there on forward.

My ohm is currently 0.44 and I vape at around 12-15watts depending on the flavour and it shows 2.30-2.56V on the IpV4s.

my question is, why could I not put on 2 coils or am I doing something wrong? And another question is, I noticed the juice finishes up fast, I probably guess because its a sub ohm tank. I could be wrong. And lastly, am I vaping safely at this set up? I dont want to have things explode in my face and I have read that anything below 0.5 ohms is bad.

Please enlighten me.
Thank You.

below 0.5 ohm isnt bad, it merely means more vapor production and as a result, you may want to lower the nic levels if you are using nic in your juice as you can potentially get nic buzz cos of its vapor production.

as for the low resistance, im not sure how many wraps you are doing, but most mods have a resistance limit. for example an evic vtc mini cant fire anything lower than 0.1ohm for wattage mode and 0.05 for TC mode. so its best to do a check on your device (IPV4S) and see what is the lowest resistance it can read.

Also it would be good to know what material is your wire, is it kanthal? nickel? titanium?

and as for the bellus wicking, yes it can be abit temperamental. once you master the wicking for it, it shouldn't leak. and yeah most sub-ohm tanks guzzle juice quick.

I usually smoke around 20-25 cigarettes a day and my nic level is at 6 mg and I do smoke cigarettes as well just to get a quick fix. So you can say 6mg isnt enough for my body. But, right now after vaping for about a week, I smoke only 3-4 ciggies a day.

Wotofo Tiger Wires are Kanthal. They are premade coils.

I recently changed my coil and it reads at 0.362ohms.

I am wondering how some are able to vape at 30watts and above. Doesnt it get too hot? Most I could do is 20.5watts.

I would also like to ask what is the opinion on TFV4. Might want to try that.

yeah general rule of thumb for sub-ohming is to keep the nic below 6mg cos anything higher and majority of people cant handle it.

people use higher wattages when they have complex coil builds. twisted and parallel coils tend to have lower ramp up time as compared to stages fused clapton coils. and for some people, they just like the warm vape that comes with high wattages.

the TFV4 has received great reviews all around. but if you are using their stock coils, you should be looking at 80w and above to get a decent vape out of it. but if you use the RBA section. then it really depends on your coil build

This is the coils I am using.
Have a Resistance of Approximately 0.3Ω-0.4Ω Per Coil.

I have stock coil from the bellus and yet to try those out.
