Was just curious, many people say that using any more than 20VG will cause issues with hardware/clogging, etc and kill off atty's/cartos, etc. But we all know that the more VG you have the more vapor you will have. I have used 20VG before and it still gave me a lot of vapor, but usually I order my juice with 30VG to give it that extra kick of a tad more vapor, I doubt adding 10 percent more will do any harm but usually don't like to go any more than that.

What is your all thoughts on this? Do most of you vape 80/20 (PG/VG) or do you vape more VG? Anyone with "friendly" VG atty's please post...I'd love to know if they exist!

50/50 is my personal standard but 80/20 has been referred to as the standard many times. I've run everything from 100% VG to 80% PG and never had any problems in attys or cartos.

Thicker VG does wick slower so that needs to be taken into account, if chain vaped it likely won't work as well but giving it time to wick in between, you should have no problems.

In my experience the flavoring or other additives have more to do with atty/carto life than the PG/VG Ratio. With few exceptions dark and/or sweet juices seem to gunk the atty up quicker and require more frequent cleaning or replacing.

Then what's up with all the vendors saying "not to ever vape 100 percent VG", "don't ever vape more than 20% VG", etc...anyone that I've ever dealt with has always said that. In fact, a lot of vendors only make 80PG/20VG and have warnings all over their site that if you use their hardware with juice that has a higher VG level than 20% (and they can tell so they claim) that your hardware warranty will be voided, hardware returned to you!

I started with 80 PG and just recently went to 70 pg. why I did this im not sure but adding that extra 10% vg seems ok. I do have to have my throat hit and I dont want to deal to liquid that is too thick. I know you can thin it some but it seems like a hassle. I diy and I hate having to deal with vg in my mixtures. I can see how viscious that stuff is.

I am making the switch from "darker" colored juices because I too have been finding that my hardware gets affected. The VG if it's too thick won't wick properly, but I'm talking 100% VG. At least that's been my experience without thinning.

Their hardware sucks? I really don't know. I have only ever used a Stardust and simply can't vape PG unless I want a raw throat. I'm still new at this and haven't tried a ton of VG only juices, but so far, stuff from Alien Visions does not clog up Stardusts.

I wish people would not use abbreviations for vendors, there are way to many of them to know who is talking about who.

I doubt it's the hardware, there are vids all over youtube from vapors that have vaped longer than I have who warn people not to use heavy VG mixes with their hardware (the vg clogs the atty's up and damages them.) I've personally experienced it with Pink Spot Vapors, my atty's wouldn't last a week with their stuff.

But that is a well known "rule" in the vaping community, it's not like I'm making it up.
