Is a drip tip needed with the Ego?

I am a "dripper" and thinking about purchasing an ego. Any tips/recommendations? It sounds like you must either remove the cone, or use a drip tip...is that correct?

Remove the cart or use a drip tip. I use the stainless t-tips from Super T manufacturing. It's saves the hassle of pulling the cart to drip.

No need to remove the cone to drip, and you don't NEED a drip tip.. but I hear they're good I have a few on the way.

No, you don't need to do either unless you're using cartomizers, then the fits is tight with the cone and drip tips are a favorite way, with some, to use on cartomizers. Others cut a 901/510 cart to fit. But with cartomizers there is no need for either. In fact, I think the draw and vapor is better with the cone.

Many are using LR attys (low resistance - higher power) to use with the eGos and they are for dripping only mainly - so along with the LR attys people also use drip tips which allow you to drip directly through the drip tip wide mouth hole without having to remove it. But even then you can use the cone.

If I were to redo my ego purchase, I would just get a 5 pack of batteries, a quick charger, and some attys. I just tailpipe but using a drip tip works fine as well.
