Is a manual battery a more comfortable puff?

I am loving my e-cig's but I am noticing both with my VX2 and my 8044 to keep the "automatic" battery going I have to give them a good hard suck like a beijing ..... then for maybe 2 secs a nice easy drag then once again back to beijing... and my VX2 gives me a hard draw period the attie isn't flooded as when I unscrew it from the battery then give it a few pulls I get an easy draw but screw it back in and I gotta puff like no man's business... if I get a couple of manual batteries will this issue be fixed?

Your mom said not to say...
Try not tightening it up all the way when you put it together, that can increase the air flow. Be aware of where you are putting your fingers as well to ensure that your not blocking of the air flow holes when you suck which is kind of what sounds like is happening. I am not familiar with the draw on that model but have seen this on other models. You might also want to try long, slow, smooth draws to get it going and when you use it, that works well with my 401 and 510, the 510 has manual battery and that technique works well along with a little pre-heat of a second or two prior to sucking.

I've found the automatics require a 'primer' puff or you get no vapor on the following puff. I haven't figured out how to get vapor on puffs after that.

The manual (button) PV are the way to go, you get great vapor on every puff because the button is your primer. Pushing the button becomes second nature after about 5 puffs. I'll never go back to an automatic because they're very inconsistent with vaping when you puff.

You may well be puffing to hard in general. I have an auto 401, and recently got manual 401 batteries. I think you'll find everyone with an auto will tell you the same thing. Take a quick primer puff, 1/2 to 1 second, (to fire up the atty). Then an easy, slow 4 -6 second puff to actually inhale. The harder you suck, the less vapor you'll get. To get a really strong hit, you need to increase the length of time you are hitting it, but don't increase the suction.
Even with the manual batty's, you still draw nice and slow. But, you don't need a primer puff, and you do get a more consistent hit with a manual, simply because you have a bit more control.

Manuals definitely give a more "normal" draw, or at least as normal as you can get on a PV. Be warned, though, the manual batts for the VX2 (and most non-510 manuals) suck. They have a very short cutoff and the worst manual button I've seen.

I once was caught out with only an automatic batt for about five hours, and that's the last time I'll ever use one. 510/mod batteries only for me now.
