There are already two 14500er Reos in my shopping cart. Additionally in nearly the same size as the Reo mini a 18490er Reo. Aluminium Reos with 18490er will be coming 2012.

Naturally I have some mods for 18650s. But they are for evening at home. In the office and during nightout I prefer "small". 18350s in the Golden Greek Stealth. (Coming small Reos.) I love to always change easily from one liquid to another. 510-T is totally nice.

Do I NEED a big Reo with (for me useless) 6ml bottle and fat battery?

Howdy Andreas unlike your 18650 tube mods the Grand isnt that big. I have two going at once and if by chance I get tired of the flavor before my 6ml bottle is empty is very simple to change it out blow out my atty and Im good to go. The Grand is just so handy knowing it will go all day and I wont ron out of juice and the battery will last all day too. In my opnion Yes YOU need one! It is my favorite of what Rob makes, (even today)

I think I'm in the same situation as you. The 3ml bottles in the mini are a perfect size for me. I can get about two days out of it, which also is about as much time I can vape one flavor before I get bored of it and need to switch to something else. But I would also like a little more battery life. I am going to wait on the 18490s as that seems to be the perfect balance between size and battery I am looking for.

Sounds like the Reo Mini might be more up your alley. I really think it boils down to your vaping style. Even though I am a small person with small hands, I have to have the Grand due to my chain vaping needs. I think its great that there is a REO that is perfect for each of us no matter what the situation is.

Personally I LOVE All of my REOs. If you are going to carry a REO, though, in a shirt pocket, as my DH does, then the Mini, Mini Woodvil, or the 18490 are better for that. A metal Mini fits better in a very tiny pocket, in a billfold like purse I carry into stores, restaurants, etc. And would work better in a woman's small evening bag. Otherwise, when I leave the house my big purse/bag can accommodate multiples of any size/type REO in a side pocket dedicated to them and my cell phone.

If I carry only one REO out, even for short trips, I always carry an extra battery and carto/atty for just in case, even if it is a Grand or Woodvil. If for hours out, several batteries if 14500. I rarely leave the house with less than two REOs, though.

I move around the house, inside and outside, a lot. I tend to set it down and then forget where it is located, no matter the size of the REO.

I love my Reo Grand. It is rarely more than arms reach away from me. If you like to change flavors a lot you could keep different bottles ready for either the Grand or Mini. It is the 18650 that does it for me. Even with the big battery, I won't leave the house without an extra battery. But, I can understand where one would prefer the mini for carrying convenience. Unfortunately, we can't have both long battery life and ultra-small size. That is where the choice must be made. You could buy both units. You would still have to make a choice as to which unit to take out with you. It is all a matter of personal preference. I know this doesn't really help much. I am pretty sure that you will be happy with any Reo, if a bottom feeding mod is what you want. They are both well designed and well constructed.:2c:

I have to agree with Xaria. I Also needed the Grand because of chain vaping. The size of the mini was perfect for me because I have small hands for a man (medium glove size) but the Grands battery is exactly what I needed for my 18 hour work days. I'll be snagging a woodie 18490 and when the metal mini 18490 drops in 2012 I will do my best to snatch at least one then I should be set for life. I'm fine vaping at 3.7 so I will probably never get into variable volt.

There are some realy interesting points to think about. Thank you.

Actually the naming of the Reo Grand is misleading. If I compare it with my other 18650 bottom feeder (Golden Greek GGTS with UFS, police Maglite size), he is quite small and fits easily in a even small palm, hand.

Using it with one 5V sounds interesting, especially after I found out, that stacking batteries is with 8,5V absolutly to much for me. That is not my beer.

But I found the killer point:
"Andreas, you HAVE a lot of 18650s batteries." So I have to be on Tuesday morning 1 AM (german time) awake. A Reo Grand is needed.

Now is only the question, if I should stay with the preferred tumbled silver, or a heavy red, which is more visibal in the mess. (And if heavy red is an option, then why not this new heavy green?)

Actually REO's in general aren't that big at all compared to some other bottom feeders. The Grand is roughly the size of a pack of cigarettes. You'll be glad you got one since it's amazingly convenient in that you don't need to carry around extra bottles or whatever. Just fill it up, pop in a new battery, and your good for a day or two (or more if your a light vaper).

Anyways, choosing the color and finish of your REO is probably the hardest part. Not sure what you mean by "heavy" but, there is an all green Grand that might be available. Which would be a great choice IMO

Actually I watched more the videos for size comparison. There I could see it directly in the hand. But you are right, I should take a walk thru these two big threads. (Especially where I have absolutely no idea, which color to finally choose.)

("Heavy" color = my limited english description for a color, nearly like a text marker. Lightning color? I don't know, what are the correct words.)
