Pretty much yes. The eGo has two threadings, the inside 510 and the ouside skirt threading for the eGo items. Not the same battery types though, shouldn't use a standard 510 charger for an eGo battery. Not sure where you were heading with the basis of the question, but yeah. They're not the same but somewhat compatible.

If you're looking to order more cartomizers etc...than yes, you need to get 510 threading.
