This particular battery is rather cumbersome and the ratings seem extremely high and makes me think they are dangerous to use especially using them to make a high voltage mod. I uploaded a pic of the specs and would like anybody to tell me what they think about them in relation to the ratings. The model 30057 highlighted in red are the ones I have previously been working with. I have 5 of these batteries. The other battery model 30050 I have 2 of these batteries and that one is highlighted in blue. Especially the battery model 30057 highlighted in red...are the ratings on this battery extremely higher than normal and therefore somewhat dangerous to use? Thanks.

The one with 2600mAh has only a .5C drain limit. That's really low, too low for an e-cig.

The one with 1400mAh has a 14C drain limit which is okay, but that's a wierd number. Usually, Li-Ions have rates like 2C, 10C, 20C, 40C, etc. The discharge cutoff is also a wierd number. Should be 4.2V not 4.15V. Don't understand why that's the case.

If you use that that 14C cell, but sure to add protection if it doesn't have it.

I know from your other post those cells are from Fry's electronics. They have wierd looking specs. Unless you absolutely can not buy stuff online, I would order some AW cells from a reputable online e-cig shop.

I went to the ZikWid ciggy shop and they are finally selling batteries (just the plain battery without the casing, button, and microchip) which are ultra fire RCR123 3.7 volt and are 1/10th the size of the Tenergy's I was using. About protection...are you taking about putting a fuse of some kind in the mod? Because I was thinking about doing that but was unsure what size of fuse to use. 5 amp...10 amp...15 amp...20 amp...?
