Does it still click when you push the button?

It sounds like the switch may be bad because it's no longer coming on, can you try holding the button down to see if it does anything?

OMG you got me to the solution in one of those messed about ways. So unlike the video my light wasn't going on. Button was clicking when hitting it. It seemed positioned properly. When you mentioned the button/switch, I did a silly thing and actually hit on the edge of my desk and the button light came on....

and argh! Short-lived. It went out right away after.

Don't mess with it. Based on what happened - and then didn't happen again - from knocking it around it sounds like an internal wiring connection is loose, which could lead to an internal short.

Vapure says right there the hardware has a six month warranty (with a bazillion exclusions...) so I would be contacting them ASAP about a warranty exchange.

Unfortunately warranty was up 2 weeks ago. I had it for 4 months before I used it. Thanks!

Oh pook - you left that part out first time around!

Could I suggest going to Cignot.com and getting a joyetech battery as a replacement? No knockoff stuff at Cignot. Now would be the time to consider a VV eGo Twist battery as the replacement so you can experience the flexibility of variable voltage.

I'm in Canada right now so dealing with importing is not an option. But you're right on VV. I've been looking at getting this since it seems easy to use. I just need to figure out what are the best disposables to use in the top part since I have zero patience for cleaning lol. Any suggestions?

Oops - I missed that one. You guys and that pesky HC and customs and stuff. lol - sorta.

There's a lotta love on ECF for the MVP. You can find a lot of reviews and info about it. It's a nice piece of kit. You will still have the one eGo type battery as a backup, but what's nice about the MVP is it's capability to be used as a passthrough. You can use it while it's charging.

Don't know what to tell you about picking your device. They all have some sort of maintenance issue. Cartos are about the only truly disposable item. But for most people they don't last very long - 5 to 7 days average. And unless you want to be a mad genius and waste the time getting liquid out of a bad carto they waste a lot of liquid when you have to toss 'em.

I personally prefer the bottom coil clearos in any format. I did see the same site has at least the Kanger ProTank - they may have the less expensive Kanger's as well. Since it's a bottom coil they are a lot less hassle to keep going than a top coil CE4 type. As long as there is liquid in there you won't get a dry hit - no tipping and fiddling and rolling around required.

The coil in any of the Kanger stuff is replaceable and how long they last depends a lot on your choice of liquids. I've got up to 9 days out of a coil before it needed cleaning. With cleaning (I know,I know...) I've got six weeks out of a coil before it just wouldn't work properly any more. Cleaning them really isn't that difficult - and ECF land will help you with that. Until you can brace yourself to deal with that - don't throw out any spent coils. They can always be cleaned... when you are ready to approach that.

Definitely can't go wrong with that power house! It even has USB passthru capability...going from "beginner" to "advanced" and ain't messing around are ya!

And find someone who likes to tinker and let the have a go at trying to figure out what's going on with that odd problem...it's not really hard to take apart...but soldering busted wiring and/or cleaning it up..leave that to someone who knows how

Li Ion batteries are more resilient that you think, and usually stupid simple things are what makes those eGos have issues...which is really sad because they really are "workhorse" type rigs

Good luck and Vape On!!!

Bottom coil and all that stuff is like greek to me haha Seriously my reluctance with dealing with cleaning is I vape 100% VG which I find really messy.

Does the Kanger work with the iTaste I showed you?

The passthrough + long battery life are the major reasons - that plus being told given my smoking history I should be using VV. Am having a REALLY tough time giving up analogs 100%.

thanks!

Everything is messy when you start. Don't be blamin' the VG. :p

Very simple: Clearos come in two basic types. The older version with the coil at the top and usually with long wicks dangling down - probably the type that came in your eGo kit. And bottom coil - where the coil is - you know - at the bottom instead. I never got the idea of top coils. Put the liquid in the bottom, put the coil at the top, and then do everything in your power to fight the laws of physics and get the design to actually work. Put the coil on the bottom instead... Bingo! Let gravity do all the work.

Bottom coil devices just work better. So there.

And yes, the MVP will work with any device you are interested in that says it has 510 or eGo threading. Any of the Kanger's will work. (And I'm pretty sure I saw that site has the Kanger T3s clearo. That one looks more like the type that came with your eGo kit.)

I'm a 100 VG user myself and have no problems using it in any of the Kanger stuff. Even my thick, gloppy VG liquids.

Well, that might be a stretch. The point of a VV device is it allows you to tweak the experience.

With a fixed voltage battery the only thing you can change is the resistance of your device. If you don't feel like you are getting enough vapor you go to a lower resistance clearo or carto instead. That's the only way you can manipulate the experience.

With a VV device you get to change the voltage to adapt to any particular resistance device you have connected to it. And different liquids perform better at higher - or lower - voltages. You aren't stuck with "it is what it is" as you are with a fixed voltage battery. Having that flexibility definitely can improve your overall experience.

Way back when, I tried some new liquids, some good stuff. I was using basic eGo's at the time and I just knew I wasn't tasting everything that was in there. Sure enough, with my first VV hardware just changing the voltage from 3.2 volts to 3.7 volts made a world of difference in the flavor I was getting out of those liquids.

Thanks so much Rick and Warhawk!

I had husband get my broken battery working - for about 20 minutes. Then it died again. He was able to pop up the cylinder in the center - seemed it got pushed down a bit. But another fix didn't help.

I went ahead and ordered the iTaste MVP today (and boohoo I wanted to get a Provari next so I could be one of the cool kids  ). Hoping I'll have it Wednesday. Guaranteed receipt date is Thursday. Dealing with 1 Ego 650 with no passthrough is proving to be quite a challenge for me. Have a half dozen Stardust clearos and one I don't know what it is. (CE5+ Clearomizer ? Can't get it working anyway)

So Kanger are the best to go with? This was out of stock: Clearomizers / Cartomizers : Kanger Protank Glassomizer and I think that's what one of you suggested. I probably have enough clearos to last a couple months but I'm still trying to get off the remaining analogs so am anxious for anything that COULD help me get down to zero.

Check out Cignot.com I know Vicki carries all the Kanger stuff and last I looked it was all in stock. (Insanely fast shipping and excellent customer service. If you had an order in before 01:00 p.m. even on a Saturday it would have shipped already.) She even has the Protank in purple and amber glass! lol

Another place to get good pricing on Kanger stuff is sun-vapers.com (don't leave out the hyphen...) They even have the replacement ProTank 2 glass in color choices.

Both these places sell the real deal Kanger - no knockoffs of fakes.

Again, with your current flavor choices you don't need to spend big $$$ on a glass ProTank right now to see if you like the BCC experience. The Kanger T3s, Mt3s or Evod will provide pretty much the same vaping experience as a ProTank at up to 1/4 the price. But it you wants the pretties then the ProTank is probably the way to go. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions - unfortunately I'm in Canada right now so with seizures happening on imports, don't want to risk ordering from outside the country. Maybe I should wait to get this in and then see the options when I get bored  I'm finding trying new flavors etc is helping me staying committed.

DOH! - I forgot again!

The hardest part about this experience is finding stuff you like - both in hardware and liquids. For most people the liquids part is harder. Switching up flavors does definitely help to keep your interest level going when you start. The MVP will definitely up your game too - and give you a new toy to play with - but don't forget that this clearo stuff wears out. Be it a top coil or a BCC you need to have at least spare coils on hand to keep the experience going. You can clean them but you can only take cleaning so far. If you can't get the Kanger of your choice right now at least invest in replacement coils for what you already have.

Did you find the Canda sub forum yet?

Well my favorite liquid so far is butterscotch! Got a 30 ml 24 mg of it and just ordered a 12 mg so that will be my "go to". I have a tupperware container full of bottles already

I'm hoping the MVP + finding something I can vape all day will get me to ditch the remaining analogs... or at least drop down a lot more.

Yup, found the subforum but not a whole lot going on there. I spend as much time in the US as I do Canada now so I tend to overlook Canada-centric things. Have a nice weekend and thanks for the help!

Oh ps I hit 500 saved net a few days ago so it was easy to make the decision for MVP.
