I just bought some of this Amazon.com: Lion Brand Yarn 480-098H Nature's Choice Organic Cotton Yarn, Almond: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

As my Rsst arrives tomorrow and its my first try at rba / rda's im curious if my purchase was a bad decision.

Ive been watching videos of people making cotton wicks and all of them have used cotton balls. I feel like the yarn is too thin? Anyone have some insight?

No you should be fine. I haven't used yarn in my RSST, I use mesh but I use Peaches and Cream cotton yarn from Wallyworld ($1.47 for enough for a lifetime). You may want to boil it and let it dry. Although it probably is not necessary I find that for me it is easier to work with. I rebuild clearos, protanks, evods and the like with it and am very satisfied.

As far as being too thin you have probably seen in the videos they fold, loop etc. to get the thickness they desire to wrap the coil around.
If this is your first as indicated, take your time try a few wraps and have some fun. In no time you will be good to go. If your device does not have a ohm check function on it get a multimeter to check your coil resistance. A cheap one will do.
I highly recommend your read the information graciously provided by Baditude on the subject located here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-tips-vapors-looking-try-their-first-rba.html.
Enjoy the RSST it is a fine unit.
