is e-juice mixing cheaper?

I found 500ml of pg/vg juice at FSUSA for $80 shipped (after coupon). That comes to $0.16 per ml!!

All I would need to do is add my own flavor. I have a few questions though

1. does mixing your own taste as good as the premixes? I would assume so, just not positive.

2. For a 30ml bottle, about what ratio of pg/vg to flavor would there be? I read it's really small like 2%, so a 5ml flavor bottle would last you forever.

3. Does e juice expire? what's the "shelf life" on pg/vg? 500ml would probably last me years, which is why i ask.

4. Can you buy flavorings at your local grocery store and mix them with a base? how about vanilla extract?

Yes, it can be cheaper but not as easy as you think. No you should not use grocers flavorings. There is a DIY forum on here I suggest you read and read again. Then get a juice calculator and order some flavors from Flavour Art, The Perfumers Apprentice or other as there are many suppliers out there. Learn how to handle nic juice as it is a poison and can hurt you if you don't know what you are doing. Take your time, read and learn. All of the info you need is in this forum.

1..miksing Your own is better way to make exactly what You want...on the other hand,You waist a bit along the way....buy 3 ml bottles and start...take notes on recepies...label bottles....it is fun....
2.amount of flavor varies...5-20% in some flavors.....70%PG-30%VG is good way to start.So,4,5ml of PG/VG mix and 0,5 ml of flavor makes 10% flavor,that I find usualy the best ratio.Have in mind that if Your PG/VG mix is 20mg nic,that mixture(with 0,5 ml flavor) is now 18mg nic....adding flavor lowers amount of nicotine in solution,that also is happening when adding sweeatner......I usually am adding 10% sweetner(I use Flavor apprentice)...SO,FOR 30 ML BOTTLE 24 NIC :
3 ml sweetner
3 ml flawor
24 ml of PG/VG that contains 30mg nicotine.....Use VG with nicotine...it is easyer...if You use plain VG from grocery store,You will need,in this case 7ML OF 42MG PG AND 3ML OF PLAIN VG.....
3.I do not know shelf life,but,500 ml will last You around 10 months...if You do not cut it with VG....Let say around 1 year....
4.No,you can not....They are PG based,but so thick that they will kill Your atomiser.....
