I got some high-nicotine banana juice, split it between two bottles and filled them up with vegetable glycerine and banana extract from the grocery store.

I got a little heavy-handed with the banana, so the result tastes better than the original.

Is there any known or suspected problem with vaping extracts? I would do the same with cherry, vanilla, anything I can get my hands on.

Check the contents. From what I understand, caramel, sugars, and oils can shorten the atomizer life. The artificial banana flavor that I get from the grocery store has been working well.
Enjoy!

Elphaba,
There is evidence that inhaling vanillin (generic, imitation vanilla) is hazardous. Oddly enough, most flavors that list ingredients, and I suspect most brands, contain it. Please research it and make your own decision. Just like analogs, effects from our new hobby can take years to develop. Make your own informed decisions. I would LOVE a good, sweet vanilla vape, but I just won't risk it, and I try to avoid other flavors that have it.

Inhaling vanillin vaporized straight can cause upper respiratory irritation - that same as PG and VG in quantity.

I know of no risks with using vanillin as part of a mix.

If you have something specific you want to reference with a link, put a space where any periods should be, and it will post.

IMO, it has not been found reasonably safe to inhale for extended periods or in the quantities we would use it in. We already know we are puffing stuff that is not well controlled in manufacture in many cases, may not be the potency claimed on the labels, and is not well documented.

I've tried to edit twice for links with no luck. It's like 11:30 and I gotta work in a couple hours. I'll try again tomorrow.

Coumarin containing artificial vanilla is being produced in other countries and is absolutely banned here because of the hazard. Just would like to know what they are using to flavor the stuff with before I inhale it.

Vape away on the vanilla if you like the stuff, I'm just saying it's not for me.

I'm pretty sure that I've narrowed down a "spaced-out-lightheadedness-slightly-stoned, but not in a good way" feeling that I've been getting occasionally to vanillin. It seems that I don't get that in recipes with real vanilla, but vanillin gives me the whirlies. At first I suspected caramel coloring, but narrowed it down further.
