Is it a good idea to wash all new items you purchase?

I just got my first genny in the mail. An RSST. Was just wondering if i should bother maybe wiping the whole thing down with Isopropyl alcohol to be safe, or maybe just a water bath? Or is it unnecessary. Does this by any chance also apply to mechanical mods? I have a few coming in and want to know whats the best way to treat them.

It wouldn't hurt to give everything a quick rinse, but I think most reputable companies are going to clean any residue from machining, etc. before shipping. Anything from fasttech: wash like a madman. Lol. A lot of that stuff comes very dirty. Also, I found out the hard way that an isopropyl alcohol bath will make low grade stainless steel corrode... So be careful with that.

Sitting down, facing forward.
A rinse with hot water should be fine. Isopropyl alcohol probably isn't a good idea, use pure grain alcohol instead if you really want to use alcohol to clean something you're going to vape with. Also keep in mind the actual process of vaping, nicotine is actually a poison and everything gets heated up to about 200 degrees which will kill most anything left alive anyway. So other than the air tube and mouthpiece, not too much to worry about beyond manufacturing dust/residue.

I've been thinking about washing my Boges lately b4 use. Maybe a Drop of alcohol or bleach in a few cups of nuked water.

I would not use bleach anywhere near my vape gear, specially in a carto. Of course, I doubt one drop in a few cups of water will do much, good or bad. I do use isopropyl alcohol to clean stuff, but I wipe it off and give it time to evaporate before assembling. YMMV.
