I hear you, took me 2 months of fooling with carts, different filler material, leaking messes ect, before I discovered direct dripping. Dripping is phenomenal, no more leaky carts, no mess, I just carry a 3ml bottle around with me lasts 2-3 days, I love it. So how do I drip?

First remove the inner cartridge, I don't use the inner cart when I drip, set it aside for a rainy day

Second drop 2-3 drops directly on the atty bridge (metal wire looking thing)

Third put the outer cartridge back on the atty and vape away

Fourth when the vapor starts tapering off and you get a weird taste drop another 2-3 drops

As an aside I find this is a great way to regulate how much you are vaping, myself I find a drip session equivalent to a cigarette.

Thanks for the tips, I just bought a Happy eGo and I wanted to to try dripping anyway but where is that bad taste coming from when using the filters? Is it the filler melting on the wicking material? I`m used to cartomizers and I`m completely new to the 3 parts e-cigs. Another question if you don`t mind, I`ve read somewhere that when using a new atty, you should clean it to get rid of the primer stuff, is that true? Please forgive me, I know its probably been answered a lot but I can`t find the answer.

Yes new atties can have primer I always blow new atties dry into paper towel. Blow from the open end where the bridge is. Once they are blown dry, add two to three drops of liquid onto the bridge to get it primed for use.

Bad taste can be a combination of things, your atty could be too dry, could be that you don't have enough liquid in the cart, could be the primer.

You'll find out quickly what is causing it through a process of elimination try blowing out your attie, then try removing the inner cart and direct dripping onto the bridge, remember don't use more than 2-3 drops or you'll flood your atty. If you flood it (flooded if you hear gurgling sound) you'll need to blow out the attie and start the drip process over.

Forgot to mention if your going to continue to use cart filters make sure they are wet enough as dry filler material will give a bad taste from the filler material burning.

When topping up carts you want the cart filler material to look slushy at the top, that's how you know its full, if you see a pool of liquid at the top it's probably too full, dab it with a paper towel till it looks slushy.

Thanks a lot, I can`t wait to try something new, not that cartomizers are bad but I feel that i`m losing some liquid with them as the cartos are not using all of it.

Search for the HighPing cart mod. It works like a champ, mimicks dripping as far as taste is concerned and vapour production.

When vapour production drops off, it's time to refill the cart. I have sucked my carts dry, never had a foul taste and never burnt the filling. they take 10-12 drops every time I refill. Before vapour production decreases, taste will also decrease, that's when you know you need to refill.
