Is it better to run batteries down before re-charging?

And if I remember correctly, running your batteries all the way down is not good.
But then I'm not sure you can run them all the way down either.

You're right, the protection circuit cuts off connections before the charge is too low for the battery, just like it cuts off when its fully charged, or the incoming voltage is too high.
Wow, ok, so then by vaping with my baty's until they start blinking is not a good idea then. i take it.
I read some where on ecf, that if you wait until the warning light comes one the second time, you've pushed it too far, they said, that is what the warning light is "for", and it's important to charge battery's for a full 12 hours, for the first 3 uses, then about 4 -5 hours after that,

I think that you should just charge them whenever you feel like it - before they flash, or when they flash. Most are probably partly charged when shipped so I wouldn't worry about 12 hour charges etc. That's what I have learned from various sources and it has worked fine for me
Ok Thanks "Fisherman" I guess I won't worry about then. Certainly not gonna sit there vapin on this thing til the light blinks no more just so i can charge it. Lol,

I don't think that really applies to these batteries.
Either the batteries, the chargers, or both have circuitry in them to prevent overcharging.
But other people may tell you something different.
This is an argument that has not yet been settled here on these forums.
But I can tell you that I leave mine charging overnight whenever I want.
Who knows, someday I may find out that was a bad move.
Firstly, many people just don't like leaving anything unattended overnight, and that's probably very good advice.
Secondly, I wouldn't worry too much about the longevity of your batteries - they will go when they go, and that's it. Still so much cheaper than analogs, even without the most important issue, your health

for best performance.. change them as soon as the one in the charger goes green...
a fresh off charge battery produces better results than a half flat one..
they leave the charger at 4.2 volts.. during use they lose voltage.. when they hit around 2.7 volts the protection circuits blinks and switches them off..
its obvious a 4.2 volt battery works better than a 3 volt one.. so keep them in the upper voltage range whenever possible.. like when you are sat next to the charger..

ps... for those that like exact figures.. 4.2 volts is the high cut off point... 2.7 is the low one..

You could save alot of thread space by doing a search. This subject has been covered extensively many times and pretty thoroughly just recently. I learned a whole lot in those threads and it answered all my batt questions.

I love your attitude and you've got a great perspective, I admire that! Thanks! I have MS and I have a motto, "I may have MS, but I will never let MS have "me"!! I smoked for 31 yrs and stopped by using e-cigs. You reminded me of something my husband tells me when I get stressed out over details of something, "nothing, is THAT important!", "THANKS!"

Besides, I already searched the forum and still had questions. I don't understand alot about batteries and volts and stuff. I read alot too, and it only confused/worried me all the more
And there's so many kind hearted ppl on this forum who help on another out, I thought I would just ask. After all,that's what so great about the internet, and forums especially, tis the best way to find something out, when you don't understand something, you can always ask someone who does....
