Good point and it could very well be that I'm so used to the flavor..hmm food for thought :)

Vapors tongue also called vapors fatigue can cause you to lose your sense of taste. Do a quick search in the forums there are numerous posts on the issue. vaping to much of the same juice will sometimes cause this to happen. Some people, I find, suffer from it more often than others. I hear sniffing coffee grounds helps. Also I hear staying well hydrated will help prevent it. I can't really say I have ever had it. I heard early on that changing flavors frequently will prevent you from fatigue so I keep several tanks in my rotation and change flavors often. Seems to have help me not to get it. Also vaping a lot of cinnamon type vapes can also mess with your taste buds so I have tried to steer clear of really strong cinnamon flavors. I do however always...and I mean always :D... have some GCD (Grandma's Cinnamon Danish) from Nicoticket in my rotation! That stuff is awesome! If you haven't tried Nicoticket I highly recommend giving them a whirl. The Virus, Wakonda, and Betelgeuse deserve mention. As a matter of fact I haven't had a bad juice from them yet and I've tried at least half. Good luck Stacey!

Not all of the components of the e-liquid become vaporized, and those un-vaporized components begin to collect over time in the tank and can affect the flavor. It's more noticeable with certain flavors.

The heating coils will become gunked up with carmalized sugars in the flavoring agents, so they become less efficient in producing vapor, also affecting flavor.

Our sense of taste can become de-sensitized over time with a single flavor. I suggest changing flavors often to prevent this.

Smoke a cig now and it is going to taste like crap. Actually, it has always tasted like that, you just didn't taste that because you smoked the same flavor of cig day in and day out for years. Same thing with vaping the same flavor day in and day out. I believe Febreeze refers to the phenomenon as "nose blind".

I just got back to vaping after a few years. The technology has changed substantially. The one thing that remember is that you shouldn't stick to one or two flavors. You get tired or burned out. When I went out Tuesday to pick up a starter kit I got 3 different juices. Maybe that will help out.

And then....there are people like me who vape the same juice all month, as I make it myself. I can't have smelly juice on the boat I work on, it annoys the Captain. So, we agreed, to this one slightly caramel flavor, as that did not annoy him. Other flavors seem too strong now. I make about 240ml of it at a time, lasts for a few months. (I freeze what I am not using. And it stays fresh) And it costs me about $2.40 for 30 ml! I make up for the low cost by buying good gear and rebuildable tanks atomizers. For me the flavor changes when I eat or drink or after brushing my teeth. Vape On!

For the last year and a half, up until a few weeks ago, I only vaped one juice. Decided to branch out and am about ready to go back to my ADV cause nothing else interests me.

If you have a few shops near you, make a day of shop hopping and simply tell your story that you're looking for a new juice. Most places will let you sample every juice they have. I do this about every 3 months or so and now I know which shops I like, some of the people, and some of the brands I favor. Some of my favs currently are Lost Arts and Ruthless. My wife likes Mad Mikes.
