Is it normal for clearomizers to have less flavor?

I prefer carto's for flavor to clearo's. But its quite subjective as many prefer one over the other.

I think part of the determining factor might be the juice and flavors used. Just my experience and opinion, but I found that a higher vg ratio had issues producing flavor in string wicked devices. I've found the polyfill material in carto's seems to wick vg better. A chemist once stated in a thread that he believed the silica used in clearo devices actually blocked certain flavor molecules.

To the OP I don't notice a huge change in muting the flavor to me, but definitely can taste the wick in the clearos and Novas in my opinion though I still like both. Maybe if you let it sit for a couple minutes to wick better it will have more flavor.

On a side note I just tried a Nano first time today and the flavor is wonderful. I do have a strong peach flavor in it though. Also the tank is tiny so doesn't hold much juice(1 ML I think) and it looks funny as heck on my Evic. Alot easier to wick my VG so far also. Guess it's time to try Kanger T3s. Sigh, my wife is going to kill me before I find my set up.

I don't know about chemistry, but having used ss mesh for awhile and now mainly silica for out and about I do agree that some of my juices that are 50/50 taste much different. Certain flavors that were there aren't. Need to try them again as I get more use to the silica wicks.

 Going from a nano to a T3 is like going from a .22 to a cannon. :p

less flavor than what is the question--- a cartomizer, a tank?

Whats your definition of a tank? They vary. Some people are calling Vivi Novas tanks while us old timers are referring to carto tanks.

Would be easier and a lot less confusing if they just called them what they are and those are clearo tanks.

In my stock rebuildable stardusts, the flavor wasn't there. Once I switched to cotton wicks, wow. I'll never go back. I could taste everything, and explore a bunch of different voltages to find new flavors in the same juice (especially Halo brand).

I only use ego mega dual carts, when I use carts. Haven't felt like investing in carto tank setup, if the mega duals work about the same. I find their flavor to be okay. They generally pack a better TH. But my stardusts with cotton wicks, though, blow them out of the water. Closest to dripping I've come, and I only have to refill twice a day :D
