The orange Ultrafire batteries in the FastTech link are UN-PROTECTED Li Ion batteries (confirmed by FastTech staff). I couldn't identify the grey batteries, so I can't recommend those either.

NEVER use an un-protected battery in a mechanical mod without a Vape Safe Mod Fuse.

IMR batteries (safe chemistry) are now recommended for both regulated and mechanical mods* for all applications.

For safety reasons, purchase only high quality batteries sold by recognized name brand companies. The only 18350 IMR batteries I recommend are either AW or Efest IMR's.

Batteries made by Trustfire, Ultrafire, and Surefire, as well as generic batteries are NOT recommended. *
Batteries are not created equal. Rejects by the major battery manufacturers are purchased and re-wrapped by other companies; they are unknown batteries of unknown quality made by an unknown manufacturer - not worth risking your mod or anything else that you value.

That about sums it up, folks. When in doubt, DONT. Respect your battery. Or invest in a good facial reconstruction surgeon.
