to use a regular 9V battery(the kind in smoke detectors), hooked up to a resistor, and have it put out 5v?
or would i be better off just using two 3.7v with a resistor.

its better using 2-3.7 with a regulator or resistor to get 5v.

9V is an alkaline batty and probably would not last long enough to be worthwhile making a mod using them.

I have a 9v Nimh rechargeable I use in a multimeter. Not sure about the mAh. Still, I think it would be more bother than it's worth to incorporate into a e-cig even with external charging posts.

yeah, i see what you mean. it just got me thinking, because i have so many 9V's laying around the house, what could i do with them all? ill probally make a statue or something.

Most 9V are made up of AAAA cells... Maybe some of those could be of more use to you.

I have used a mod using 3- AAA alkalines and it works but doesnt vape very long.
