The burbies of Cleveland
True story. 1970. My mom had run into the store for a minute and left me and my brother in the car. Beautiful day, the windows of the car were open, and my brother and I got into a fight about who got to play "Drive the Car". We were really going at it lol!

Somebody tapped on the glass. I looked up, surprised and a little scared, to see two long haired, beaded, tie-dyed hippies (one even had moccasin boots!) standing there.

Hey,man, hippie-girl said. Don't fight! Peace!
The hippie guy with her nodded, smiled and flashed us the peace sign. Then, they ambled off.

Michael and I stared, goggle-eyed, at them as they walked away in their bell bottoms. Wow...how cool....they were my heroes. The more I watched the news (We have to go to a far away land and DIE for exactly what, now??) the more impressed I was with 'em. Thank God for the hippies. Who in their right mind would want to see the Fifties go on forever?

No lock here sweetums. R1 is one of us.

Yup, but my bet is she still at least moves this to the appropriate sub-forum ;)

However, if I'm wrong ....
