Is it the juice or has the Clearomizer burnt?

So I managed to get 2 bottles of liquid by Flavorz by Joe, hard to get in Europe as the best reviewed flavours are always sold out- I managed to get Coquito and Heavens Kiss. I should say Ive only tried 4 liquids so far, Halos Belgian Chocolate and an RY4, Butterscotch and a Toffee from Freedom Vape, all pretty good, but wanted to try the best so I ordered the Flavorz by Joe.
Filled a new Clearomizer (a cheap unofficial one I got from PinkMule who sell a bunch of models), gave it about 10 minutes to sink in, and vaped.
And it is disgusting! I cant believe it, one of the best reviewed juices out there that everyone says is delicious, and its absolutely rank, I cant quite believe it myself, disappointed doesnt cover it as Ive been looking forward to these all week.
Idk maybe its me, it cant be the juice!
Could it be the clearomizer burnt? Would that make a juice, any juice, taste really bad? I thought letting it stand for 10 mins would avoid that but the juice is thicker than all my others, its a 50/50 PG/VG mix.
Just cant believe this premium juice should taste like this.
Im using an Ego C if that matters idk. <-vaping noob

Sulking now, going back to my butterscotch and RY4 mix (still havent gotten that taste outta my mouth! ugh).

its a "CE4 Unoriginal 2.1-2.5 OHM" clearomiser, not replaceable coils (also bought a few other models), and its just the standard ego-C, not the Twist, so I dont know what the voltage is on that. Havent tried any other juices in that clearomizer, it was a new one, maybe I should wash out one of the ones Im using with my other liquids and try it in that...
Could be its just not my flavour, but youd think someone else would feel that way too, seems like everyone and their mum loves it. Apparently it should be like vanilla, butterscotch and cinnamon, out of those, cinammons the only flavour Ive never tried as a vape, so could be Ive just discovered I hate cinammon lol.

You should clean your Clearomizer with alcohol or rubbing alcohol to remove the oil inside it, and if you already do it but it still has a burn taste then maybe the silicone sleeve is to tight, use a scissors to cut a upside down v-shape on the silicone sleeve.

Please, NO! Never use rubbing alcohol inside your atties-clearos-anything, Rubbing alcohol is poison.

If it's a plain eGo-C, it's a 3.3 v device, so you're not burning anything. eGo-C upgrade is dual voltage, 3.3 and 3.7, that's why I asked.

CE4 are bad to begin with, can't imagine how bad the knock-offs can be.

So, you may be getting dry hits, which means you're basically vaping dry hot air because there is wicking problem--if your ejuice doesn't get to the coil, it's the worst taste you can imagine. Top coil clearomizers have difficult time wicking correctly and I suspect this is the case.

Also, I wouldn't use a cinnamon juice in a plastic clearo--cinnamon will crack the plastic eventually.

I agree with Mundane--try that juice in a different device, whatever you have, and see if it tastes better.

I was about to look that up. Can you just wash them with hot water? Should I leave it to soak?

I do wash mine in hot water always--sometimes there are impurities from factory. They shouldn't prime the coil with anything else but pure PG, but who knows? Chinese WD-40?

Oh, no, don't soak--you don't want it water-logged. Rinse and dry and fill.

NEVER clean a clearomizer out with rubbing alcohol. Thats some really bad advice to give.

Use isopryl (rubbing alcohol) alcohol on 510 connection heads or threads.....or to clean the mod on its outside, not the inside where people inhale from!

Run them under hot tap water. If you have distilled water in the house DROP IT into a bowl of distilled water after the hot tap water rinse. The DW will help remove chlorine and other chemicals present in tap water.

Red Bird--ISO is not the same as rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol is denatured alcohol:

Folks, let's make sure of what we're talking about here:

  • BOOZE ALCOHOL: This is ethanol for drinking: vodka, Everclear or moonshine. Flavored or colored boozes will lend "interesting" flavors to whatever device we're cleaning. All, except the moonshine, involve paying heavy federal and state taxes.
  • ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL: Chemically, this is a different kind of alcohol that is poisonous to drink straight out of the bottle. But, if it's labelled "USP," it's safe for cleaning anything we'd insert in our mouths (drip-tips, attys, cartos, the relevant parts of Vivi Novas, Stardusts, RBAs, etc.) provided you let whatever you cleaned with it dry thoroughly!! The 91% concentration will kill anything that lives on God's green earth. It's also dirt cheap compared with booze alcohols (again, excepting moonshine).
  • RUBBING or DENATURED ALCOHOL: Chemically, rubbing alcohol is ethanol (i.e., booze alcohol) that's been denatured (which is a fancy word for "poisoned") so you can't drink it and thereby cheat the taxmen. Sometimes, it's only denatured with methanol, but many states require the addition of non-volatile poisons. Methanol will evaporate, but any other poisons added won't. Word to the wise: don't use rubbing alcohol!

I've used isopropyl alcohol for almost every cleaning chore, when refurbishing pipes earlier on, and now for cleaning PV hardware, for over forty years without ill effect. Word to the wise: read the label.

LOL, if the juice had been called "Chinese WD-40", Id say the taste was spot on!
Im definitely getting the liquid flavour coming through, so I assume thats not dry hits? but its not nice, I dont know how a burnt clearomizer would affect the taste so thought maybe it was that tainting it, but apparently not, in which case I just hate cinnamon, which is odd as actual cinnamon I quite like, but this has kind of aniseedy notes and I absolutely hate aniseed with a passion.

Its put me off the juice anyway, I suspect il just put it away and write it off. Or swap it as apparently everyone else loves it and Ive heard theres a swaps thread somewhere so Il look that up.

Thanks for the advice, I think what Il do is wash this clearo out and test it with a juice i know and like just to make sure its ok, the reviews on them were positive and didnt mention any nasty taste.

Thanks, Katya.

I've always thought they were one and the same. I'd never use 91% isopropyl alcohol (which I have) INSIDE of anything I vape.

WARNING: will produce serious gastric disturbances if taken internally. If swallowed get medical help or contact a POISON CONTROL CENTER right away.

FLAMMABLE: keep away from fire, flame, heat, spark or electrical.

COPIED FROM BACK of this bottle.
