always good to have 4 or 5 spare tanks :p carto tanks work well for spares. U can also get some spare punched cartomizers.
then as far as the PV, the variable voltage ego is a great choice, but you may want to have a 400mAh spare for those outings when you just don't want to be seen puffing from a big silver or black tube :p the 400mAh ego fits in your palm.
You'll also want to pick up a usb eGo charger wire and wall adapter. Its best to charge on the wall. some warn that you could ruin the battery charging from your laptop or pc... Other than that, get a ton of good juice. sample sizes work for beginners. You still need to find your tastes before you find your all day vape, afterall. U can click on the little blue number under my name to the left of this post, my blog, to read about everything you'll ever need to know about vaping in 2012. : D

hm, what else? start looking at fixed volt big batt mods because u may end up wanting one. soon. loll.

Check my blog out man. You can click the little blue number under my username and avatar and all that to get to it. I list all of my personal favorite juice vendors and all of the forum's favorites. I also give a short list of the most popular juices. Its the little 3 next to "Blog Entries" under my username and pic and stats to the left of this post. ;) I recommend Madvapes.com for all your PV and accessory needs, and BackwoodsBrew for your juice needs... Vaping 1 of their tobaccos right now and cant get enough of it.

Hey Plumes.

We are based in a country where vaping is banned. It'll be hard getting stuffs through customs. =)

Need your insight here. When you say there is a lower resistance , example a vivi nova coil head measuring 1.8 vs 2.4 omhs , would that mean the 1.8 has more wires to it ? If that was the case then it would draw more power to fire it up. What then would be a safe voltage to fire this 1.8 ohm coil head ?

With a high voltage PV, would it mean more power ? Or are they different.

Sorry for the noob questions

Here's a voltage guide.

The lesser the coil, the smaller the resistance: 1.8 < 2.4
Thus lower voltage required to heat up the coil which is generally good for those "static" mods with a single voltage. For VV, you can adjust you voltage to match the resistance.

But then with lower voltage, why is more power required to fire it up ? Or am i wrong in this .

Watt is the actual power consumption -

1.8 ohm @ 4 volt = 8.89 watts
2.4 ohm @ 4 volt = 6.67 watts

Thus 2.4 ohm at the same voltage uses less power but produces less vapour.

For 2.4 resistance to produce equivalent vapour:

2.4 ohm @ 4.6 volt = 8.82 watts

woah.. now we need a maths degree to vape.. hahaha.. :)

Step 1
Check the resistance of your Clearomizer / Atomizer / Cartridge.
From your Ohm, draw a horizontal line on the chart, to your right.
Step 2
Check the voltage of your battery
From your Voltage, draw a vertical line downwards.
Step 3
Make sure you are within the Green Zone of the Vaping Chart
Where the two lines meet
Step 4
Find the best spot within the green zone that you like.
Vape away.

We still do not need a math degree to vape. Or a chart.

All you need to remember is:

1) How many Ohms is your cartomizer.

2) How much Watts you would like to hit.

3) Apply this formula: Volt x Volt / Ohm = Watts.

4) Enjoy.

Generally, most people vape @ 6 Watts to 10 Watts. So... See what works best for you.

Here's a link for easier understanding: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...e-wanted-know-plus-bit-electronic-theory.html

Disclaimer: Hitting of Wattage may seemed fun or interesting to some, but remember to read about battery safety and some juices will have a slight change of taste with different Wattage.

Ahhh ! that makes sense. with a low resistance level, you can expect to use up more of your battery faster.;)

I am alternating between ego and vmax. vmax is real pleasure. But the problem with vmax is knowing it's true output. I read that a 3 v on a vmax actually translate to a true output of 4.2 v. anyone has any idea of any chart to look up on vmax true output at various settings? or perhaps a simple way to compute the true output?
