Is it worth putting an ohm readout on a VW mod??

An ohm meter will immediately confirm this and that is the topic of this thread. I would love an ohm meter on all my mods and so would my wife, she is sick of seeing the multimeter on the coffee table.

THIS would be a good solution, or make your own.

+ it gives you a sturdy base to keep your hands busy finding the culprit short...
it is small too , not as much of an eye sore as say, a volt/ohm meter with leads?

If the mre777 is keen on having it integrated that is fine, there are just so many other convenient options that i dont see the point.

Damn i go to school and everyone starts talking lol.. Appreciate all the opinions guys and i do see both sides of the coin. I was thinking of the functionality of the thing like the Opus. It has no display and I hear people are really happy with it. I think maybe just an easy to reach thumb wheel for adjusting is key to a good device. I'll look more into the parts and Ill see how it all fits together and if i have the room to put in a ohm display, trying not to compromise the size factor I'm going for. I really got the itch to build just cant afford to right now
But planing this out will save me money in the end.

That would be nice, I wish they sold it in a kit so i could use that circuit in anything i wanted. Its a little pricy to buy and rip apart.

I personally like it in most cases. With Atomizers, I check them before I vape when screwing them on. Cartomizers, I do not do this since I have to fill them first, or I get burnt taste by testing them on a device before filling(with my Provari). I check Carts with the ohm meter. With my RBA's or atty's I will use the device, much faster and easier.
10 watts is normally my sweet spot but there are some mods that I do not use the 10 watts, that is why the "set it and forget it" does not pertain to me. A Vivi Nova tastes burnt past 8 watts for me, where my HH357 works better at around 11 watts. My Zap works great at 12 watts. My Vision Eternity works best at around 9watts. So I am kind of across the board.
This is with 60/40 diy juice, since juice will sometimes change the way people vape also.
