Is my 510 battery burned out?

I just got a 510 battery ( joyetech genuine) and put in the USB charger it got so hot that I could barely hold it now it smells like glue it wasn't in there for more than three minutes is it defective or burnt out. Now it blinks when I put a cart on it. Should I try to charge it again? What's the deal I think it melted the plastic on the cap with the led. It's the charger that came with my kit. Idk I'm so aggravated cause it's my manual battery I just ordered. Ahhhh

Where did you buy it? That sounds like it got the wrong or defective charger cable or is a defective battery. Call the vendor and make them let you return or exchange it. And make sure they exchange the charger cable too if that charger came with it - the charger cable could be defective.

I got it from nhaler.com the battery lights up when I plug it in now and it isn't getting hot at all. When I take it oUt and push the button it blinks. Does this mean maybe it is still good because my auto battery charges fine with the same charger. Idk
